Greg first arrived into Mycroft's office looking extremely nervous.
"Hello, welcome! Don't be afraid, come in," Mycroft's warm smile encouraged Greg inside his office.
Greg kneeled on the cushion laid out on the floor of Mycroft's office. He felt out of place kneeling, as Mycroft sat looming over him in his chair, crossing his legs.
"Name please," he ordered.
"Ah, uh Gregory Lestrade, but I prefer Greg," he stuttered out, keeping his eyes low. Mycroft scribbled out a name into a form.
"Date of birth?" Mycroft looked up as Greg nervously replied. After filling out the required information, Mycroft rested his pen on the desk and intertwined his fingers together, leaning on the desk to get a good look at Gregory."I trust you have participated in this sort of activity before, Gregory?" Mycroft looked at him directly, not moving his eyes away from him.
"Yes, I have."
"Excellent. Let me reinforce the rules incase you may have forgotten. Rule number 1, you must address me as Sir at all times. Rule number 2, when I enter a room, you will stop whatever you are doing and kneel. Rule number 3, you may not come without my express permission. I will add any rules if I see fit. Is that understood Gregory?" He nodded.
"What was that, boy?"
"Yes, Sir," he exclaimed, embarrassed that he had already made a mistake.
"Good. I will see you in half an hour for our first lesson." And with that, Mycroft returned back to his work and Lestrade was excused to his room.
