Hello and happy weekend :) Welcome to the second weekend trading post, which is (hopefully) new and improved. (For new members: weekend trading post is where you find your own reading partner).
I realize last week's trading post wasn't very successful. Only two people made a successful trade as far as I'm aware. So, I'm making some changes to hopefully make this process more accessible.
(1) The trading is now open to everyone, not just elites.
(2) There are now two ways to make a trade. The first option is the same as before, you'd advertise in the comment section here, and respond to other people's advertisement. The form for advertising is
- Book title
-Genre
-Number of chapters to trade
(The above is the minimum required. You can add other details)
(3) You can now respond to advertisement all week, not just on the weekend. Advertisement should only still be posted on the weekends though.
(4) Lastly, there is a second option for making the trade, where I'd act as the facilitator. The process works as follows:
-You'd pm me a short message: "Weekend trading: [insert your book title here]"
-I'd pair you up with the next person who pm me. This is where "chain letter" comes from ^^
-I will pm you and your partner about the pairing. And you will proceed to read three chapters of each other's book. Note: you won't be able to ask a specific number of chapters for this option, since that will make it more difficult to find you a partner. So three chapters only.
-Important note: This option is only available on the weekends (Friday afternoon to Sunday afternoon). Since I won't have time to respond to pm during the week.
(5) Whichever option you choose, the reading should be done by next Friday afternoon, when the next trading post opens.
Have fun! And hopefully we can make this more successful this time :)
