Author's Note: I warn you of this chapter; it contains plot progress.

Recommendation: The Crow (movie, 1994) – interesting concept

Enjoy, my ducklings and duckbutts.

He knew it was wrong to snoop around a girl's room.

He knew, but he could not care less at the moment. She was at school for the entire day and her parents had left for work. Oh, forget about the pugs! They were stuck-up and did not seem to like him. Not that he ever considered to do something with them.

He was bored. He did not like to be bored.

He snooped around both rooms but evaded the obvious places. He mainly went through the book shelves and some desk drawers. He did not find anything of particular interest, but memorised the places of some intriguing books. He only found one particular book, which was titled 'Notes'. It had a post-it on it with the caption 'MAMMARIES!'. It had a purple bunny and a yellow chicken drawn under the word.

It was a joke of some youtuber, but he did not know which.

He decided to keep that for later and started to read some book about young Sherlock Holmes.

They went to the Warren Park, as was usual on weekends, and she took the leash off, but commanded him to walk beside her, 'au pied'. It seemed to work perfectly.

"Do not go too far." She admonished and sat down on the bench. Keros gave her hand a nudge and barked in response, before he ran off. She took out her phone to respond to Sam, who had somehow managed to break her arm and missed school yesterday.

"Excuse me, but did you happen to see a cinnamon cat with a red collar?" She looked up to see a young adult with a troubled expression. He had about chin long, ruffled black hair, which had a red strand, and different coloured eyes. He had the left side shaven upon closer inspection.

He had one dull, dark blue eye and the other was a light brown. They somewhat seemed familiar.

a peculiar eye

"Oh, uhm, no, sorry." (name) responded after she became aware of her stare. He, in turn, sighed and sat down on the bench. He mumbled something along the lines of 'damn cats' and rubbed his hands in an attempt to warm them up.

"Eh, sorry to ask, but have you moved here recently? I lived here for a long time, but I have never seen you or one like you." (name) blurted out rather unceremoniously and averted eye contact for a moment.
