Zoe had been at the train station for twenty minutes patiently waiting for the train to London. The weekend had finally arrived meaning one thing she was finally going to film with Alfie. An announcement played overhead signalling that the train was pulling in the platform. Zoe took a deep breath to calm her nerves before stepping onto the train. Just going to London meant that Zoe had achieved something as her anxiety hadn't stopped her, her plan of saying yes to new things was finally working.
Zoe found a free window seat that was away from all the chaos of large families and screaming kids. She stored her bag under the seat and began to relax as she checked her phone. A notification popped up onto the screen showing a new message from Alfie. Zoe swiped her finger across the screen to view the message. Alfie : "Only two hours Zo, already at the station;)"
Zoe laughed at the text although she couldn't help but feel a little bit nervous, what if it was awkward? what if my makeup looks weird? What if he regrets inviting me? She let a long breath trying to push away all the negative thoughts. She plugged her phone into her headphones and tried to fall asleep to the sounds of Lewis Watson an artist that Alfie loved too.
Zoe awoke to an announcement that the train had reached London. Zoe quickly checked her reflection in her phone to make sure her make up was still intact. She then grabbed her luggage and made her way of the train after sending Alfie a message telling him that she arrived.
Alfie's POV
I had been waiting at the station for two hours just to make sure I kept my promise to Zoe. I was so excited to finally see her again we skyped regularly but it wasn't the same as seeing her face to face as my phone vibrated with a message from Zoe telling me that she had arrived, my feelings changed and I suddenly began to feel slightly nervous. I walked over to the platform where Zoe's train had arrived. I watched Zoe walk off the train and I smiled as I took in her appearance. She looked beautiful, she was wearing a black t-shirt dress with little brown boots and her makeup was doing perfectly like always. I laughed as she failed to spot me turning the opposite way. I took my chance as I crept up slowly behind her, wrapped my arms around her waist and whispered in her ear.
"Good to see you Zo"
Zoe's POV
I jumped when someone wrapped their arms around me I quickly recovered after realising who it was. As Alfie whispered in my ear I blushed slightly and spun round. Alfie still kept his arms around my waist as he has hugged me tightly. I finally spoke
"I've missed you Alf" I said quietly.
"I've missed you too Zoe" he replied. I released my arms from around his neck expecting him to do the same but he kept his arms wrapped around me.
"So next stop my house" He said winking cheekily at me. I laughed and nudged him away. He reached down and grabbed my bag.
"Erm Alfie what are you doing?" I ask questionably.
"What does it look like, I'm a strong gentleman let me carry your bags my lady" He said joking around as normal.
"You're so embarrassing" I said laughing at him. It was little moments like these that made me happy that Alfie was in my life, he was the only one that could always cheer me up except from Louise of course.
After half an hour in a taxi we arrived at Alfie's house as it was late and we didn't start filming until the next day. Alfie showed me to his room.
"Right Zo our guest room is getting decorated at the moment so you can have my room and I'll sleep on the sofa." Alfie said smiling at me.
"No way! I'll sleep on the sofa, I'm not taking your bed, it's rude and I don't want you to be uncomfortable" I said.
"No, you're the guest and I want you to he comfortable." He argued back.
The argument went on for a further five minutes.
"Right me and you will share the bed Alf, there's nothing wrong with that, we are just friends after all!" I said.
"Yeah okay, yes just friends" Alfie replied with a look of slight disappointment. I instantly regretted adding that we were only friends, I was still in two minds about my feelings for Alfie but I had decided that this weekend will make me realise whether I liked him or not. Alfie quickly brightened up and we made our way downstairs to eat pizza and watch movies. Alfie busied himself in the kitchen whilst I made my self at home snuggled up on the sofa wearing Alfie's hoodie that I had stolen from his room.
Alfie's POV
I walked back into the lounge and I couldn't help but smile at Zoe. She was curled up on the sofa wearing my hoodie (which she looked gorgeous in) and she was concentrating on the movie.
"Oi Miss Sugg who said you could wear my hoodie?" I said teasingly as I made my way over to join her on the sofa.
"Oh this weirdo called Alfie, do you know him?" She said smiling at me cheekily.
"Right I'm going to have to do something about that" I said as I came up with an idea. I reached and started to tickle her arm.
"ALFFF, ahhhh alfieeeee stopppp!!!" She said giggling. After a few minutes of play fighting I gave up and pulled her closer into my side. I continued to watch the movie and as it ended I realised that Zoe had been strangely quiet. I looked down and aw'ed at the sight. Zoe had fallen asleep with her head buried into my chest with her legs intertwined with mine. I didn't want to move her as she looked so cute and I was enjoying this side to her. I switched the light off and lied down next to her wrapping my arms around her waist and resting my head on hers. I slowly drifted to sleep smiling.
