Wattpad readers are mostly girls and the nature of us as girls, we love romance.
Cliche first meetings, stolen kisses, crooked smiles, friends drama, first love confessions and of course happy endings.
Because we are aware that something like that is a rare thing in real life. Those things only happen in movies or books. And that's why we love books and movies. We need a getaway from reality. Our life is boring, we crave for something exciting, passionate drama and such.

That's the reasons why I love Star Wars so much (the original please).
Almost every book here on Wattpad, filled with romances from chapter to chapter. We are given certain characters with love interest between them. For me, it depends on how the author tells us the story and make it believable and romantic. Whether it works or not, you decide it. Opinion is subjective. Same as interest.
As I noticed this trend here on Wattpad, aka One Direction/5SOS fanfiction storm, I found one common thing between them: A toxic relationship.
Not a bad thing, of course. In fact, I like it so much. But there's a lot of "buts" here if we are going to talk about this. I will make a new section, specifically made for the fanfictions virus in the later chapter. Let me prepare my heart and mental first.

Here are some recommendations for you regarding the chemistry between main characters (romance).
These stories, I believe gave us some great aspects of romance. Starting from the chemistry itself, the build ups, dialogues and narration. There are simply a sweet/cheesy relationship, weird relationship, toxic and even something that you can just classify as beautiful. Just like I said in the previous chapter:
Sometimes too much cheese is not a good thing. And sometimes, less is more.
And I don't want to spoil anything, so I won't mention the characters names. There are quite a lot of them, so I don't think I can explain one by one carefully. And mostly these are finished stories(cause I don't want you guys hanging) 😏
