Have you just ever lied and never looked back on it? If you did then, how did it make you feel? Now, if you didn't then I have a story for you. Many people think that telling a lie is, sometimes, the best way out of some situations. My friend once told me that a lie was a "creative truth". As the years went on, my friend started to get into trouble. He would always try to lie his way out. With me I would tell the truth and face my consequences. Now that, I'm older, sometimes the truth would hurt worst than a lie. I would try to cover it up, hope that no one will notice, and walk away from it. When parents, end up,talking to their kid(s), they tend to ask questions. Most parents know when your lying because of simple, easy to notice signs: trembling in the voice, constant fidgeting, and use of trying to change the subject after every question. I didn't realize that, my lies were hurting other people, even if it wasn't towards them. "Should I tell the truth and face the consequences now or should I tell a lie and let people find out on their own?" I soon had to learn the the difference between a pretty lie or an ugly truth.
