Noelle pov:
"Hmmm? How-mm- was the park honnnnney" my mom said groggily, wiping the drool from her chin and slowly pushing herself back up into sitting position. She ended up falling asleep on the chair in the living room, and when I got home I must have awoken her.
"It was good we made a friend while we were passing," I said. Some kids don't really talk about boys with their parents but I was really close to my mom; so close that I tell her everything...except the Melony drama.
That jostled her awake more quickly. "Oooo!!! A friend? What's her name? Do I know her? You could invite her over some time so I can meet her," she offered up all these invitations for my new found friend and she didn't even know the whole story.
I folded my hands up into my lap and looked at a random object in the room to make it easier to tell her this, "well..the new friend is a boy, mama, his name is Jacob and he's from school, too."
Now her face turned from excitement to worry. Why was she worried about me having a friend?

Kelly pov:
Ohhh boy. Noelle and a boy doesn't add up to the way I want it to. I can name a few reasons why this is a bad idea.
1) she just got over with that Carson dude and I don't ever want her to be used like that again. I've never met 'Jacob' so he could be just like Carson.
2) she met this Jacob character while playing soccer, in which I don't like her playing anyways and this boy probably plays too. So she'll probably be playing it more now.
3) she has cancer. And although I'm never gonna stop fighting for her health and safety, the doctors have clearly stated that she doesn't have all that much time left. And for her to get close to a boy means she's gonna get feelings for him, and she won't even be here that long to enjoy it.
It shatters my heart to a million pieces when I think about it so I start to veer my mind into a different direction.
"Did Cassidy get home alright?" I asked, wiping my eyes of sleepiness.
"Uh yea she did," Noelle lied. She didn't even check with her friend to see if she made it back safely. I know when my daughters lie and it's funny to watch them try anyways. Just like how she lied earlier about being bullied. Obviously someone is bullying her and she must not want me to know about it if she's covering it up. I don't call them out on it because whatever they're lying about is either unimportant or for a good reason.
"Alright," I said. I slowly got up off of ther chair and walked towards the kitchen sleepily. The clock said 8:36 it was time to get settled down for bed because Serena and Noelle have school tomorrow and I don't want to have to wake them up so there not late.
"Time to go to your room for bed," I ordered her. Even if she lies, she still listens to her mother.
Noelle looked at the clock and shrugged, but obeyed. But before she disappeared up the staircase, she turned around and looked about the house. "Where's Serena at? I haven't seen her at all since school in the hallways,"
"She's at Mariah's house at her party. She'll be home late" I replied. I will probably have to stay up and make sure she comes home before her curfew.
Noelle seemed to be satisfied with that answer, and she turned back around and headed up the stairs to be for the night. One child safe in bed, one more to go.

Serena's pov:
"CHUG CHUG CHUG!!!!" All my friends cheered for me while I was upside down, doing a handstand, drinking from the big keg that Mariah's parents kept in their wine cabinet. While some people were cheering me on, others were counting the seconds that I was able to keep drinking.
