"When'd everything get so green and full of grass?" Allison asked, looking up at the walls and buildings of San Francisco.
"I dunno," I said, "but I don't like it. This would've been like this four years from now."
"That's because it has been four years, dumbass. Where've you been?" Someone spoke up from an alleyway, and I immediately turned and snarled. "Ah," he looked amused, "a beta. This your beta, Nick?"
I stopped, and looked at Nick. "You know him?"
Nick nodded. "His name is Jack. He's an Alpha, took the power from the previous Alpha of our pack before I left."
"Yes, that is true. Want to tell why though, Nick?"
He sighed. "Jack had went drunk on power, and was a tyrant to the pack. I had argued with him, and he tried to kill me, and I ran away, becoming an Omega, then later on becoming a True Alpha seeing Div and Newt get attacked by another pack, and then we came across you, Liam."
Through that whole thing, I was glaring at Jack, who had a demon-like stare on Nick, and then I growled, "And why is he here? To kill us? Nail our heads to his wall of fame?"
Jack grinned wickedly. "Thanks for the idea, beta. But I'm not here for those reasons."
"Then what are you here for?" Newt asked.
Jack's grin turned into a smile, which terrified me. "I came here to make Nick here a deal. Since I am still his Alpha in a way, I can still command him. It's a little thing I dug up a few years back."
His eyes turned red, and he roared so loudly that the windows on the street shattered. Glass shards flew everywhere, and I closed my eyes, putting my arms over my face to protect it, and that's when Jack had made his move. He had roundhouse kicked Div into Newt, and they both crashed into a building, and then slashed my arms, making me fly backwards into a car. "Why does this feel like deja vu. . .?" I muttered, getting up from the wreckage of the car.
Nick, who's face was red from pressure, was on the ground, clutching his head like he was having a migraine. Then he turned, and got up, snarling at me. "Um. . .Nick?" I asked, hoping he could hear me straight. "Dude, this isn't you, alright, this isn't-" Jack kicked me down some stairs, and I hit the concrete hard.
Ryan snarled, his body erupting in flames, but Nick had just drop-kicked him into Void and Allison. "Nick, seriously, calm down, regain control." I persuaded, but Nick had just ignored me and headed for Ryan, who had flung a few feet from Void, and he looked in pain. Oh my god, I thought, Nick is going to kill Ryan!
I got up, but was too far away to reach them in time, and it felt like time was slowing down as Nick was swiping down with his claws, and I snapped in an instant.
I roared so loudly, I broke the sound barrier, making huge amounts of dirt go flying, and a building collapse. Nick flew backwards, clutching his head, turning back, and everyone else had grabbed their ears.
I felt a surge of power, and I roared even louder, until Jack finally fell to his knees, his ears bleeding. I stopped, and I walked over to him. "You want to try and fight us again, and I was going to rip your throat out. With my teeth."
Jack's body froze, looking into my eyes, and I the air went still. "Y-You're eyes. . ." He mumbled. ". . .Their red."
After I had looked into a shard of glass and almost flipped out from my eyes being red, and finding out I had turned into a True Alpha for some odd reason that had completely dumbfounded me and everyone else around me, I had walked over to Nick, Newt and Div, who were sitting on a wall, looking at the sun go down.
I vaulted over, sitting next to Newt. Div's head was laid down on his shoulder, and Nick looked like he was lost in thought. But me, I was alone for right then. I didn't have a girlfriend, or a life to begin with. I wasn't that intelligent, well, intelligent enough, and I couldn't lead a pack at all. I just sat there, looking into the sunset as if it was mesmerizing. Then, Void had put his hand on my shoulder, and I jumped. "Liam, there is someone wanting to see you. A girl about our age, but not human."
"What do you mean?" I asked, getting off the wall and followed Void down the pathway, until we turned a corner, and went face-to-face with a girl with black hair, and orange-dye streaks down the side. Her eyes were purple, and she wore all black. Black hoodie, jeans, shoes, earrings, etcetera.
"Are you Liam?" She asked, her voice small and shy, kind of cute too.
I nodded. "Yeah, and you are?"
"Sorry," she brushed some hair out of her face, "I'm Violet Williams. Omega."
"Then why do you have purple eyes if you're a werewolf? Werewolves have red, blue and yellow eyes."
"This is the normal color of my eyes."
I felt embarrassed, and felt my face get hot. No idea why, though, but Violet kind of giggled. And I found something out real quickly. She liked me after thirty seconds of our first meet. That's someone who's freaking desperate. 100%. "Learn something new everyday." I said.
"Guess so."
I hadn't realized Void had been recording with his phone, which somehow worked, and I growled as he laughed, running away. "He better not post that if the world ends." Violet snarled.
"You and me both."
