Michael's POV
Arden was currently in her therapy session with Darcy while I waited outside the room. I still usually went in with her, but today I didn't because I was waiting for Grace to arrive.
We had been on tour for about a month now and we were currently in London. Grace was meeting us at the hotel, but Arden didn't know it yet. We had been keeping it a surprise.
I was leaning against the wall as I scrolled through my Twitter and awaited a text from my girlfriend.
I heard the elevator ding and immediately turned to look down the hall to find Grace walking out. We made eye contact and a smile made a way onto her face.
"I've missed you so so much!" She called as she ran to give me a hug.
My arms wrapped tightly around her, "I missed you too. I'm so happy you're here," I gave her a short but loving kiss.
"Is Arden still in her session?" She asked.
"Yeah, she should be out soon. How has school been?"
"Good! I'm almost finished with my bachelors degree," she gives me a huge smile.
I giggle a bit, "I'm so proud of you. You'll have to let me know when your graduation is."
"Definitely!"
The door to the hotel room then opens to reveal Arden and Darcy walking out.
"I'll see you in two days, ok?" Darcy smiled.
"Ok!" Arden turned to face me but her eyes grew wide as she saw who was beside me.
"Grace!" She squealed and attacked her in a hug.
"Arden!" Grace cheered back.
"I missed you!"
Grace picked Arden up and placed her on her hip, "I missed you more! How has tour been?""Good! But it's better now that you are here!" She smiles and Grace kept her on her hip as we walked towards the elevator.
"You're too cute, Arden," Grace smiles back.
Today we had planned on just going out and hanging around the city before I had to get to soundcheck at about 3. It was still pretty early so we had a bit of time.
"Where to first?" Grace asked as we
stepped outside."I was thinking we could go to the London Eye, even though I'm sure you've been there, and then go grab something to eat and shop around a bit," I tell them.
"Sounds good!"
We took a cab to the London Eye and luckily it wasn't that far. We got into the long line but didn't fret because people said the wait usually wasn't that long.
"How's Parker?" Arden asks Grace from her spot in between the two of us, holding one of my hands and one of Grace's.
"He's doing good! He starts football soon!"
"And Sandra? How's she doing?" I question.
Grace shrugs, "She's ok. She's still having a hard time."
I shake my head, "I just feel so bad for her."
"I do too. Jeff was a really good husband and dad. Parker is doing better though so that's good. I mean, he's still having a hard time, but it's definitely hitting Grace harder now."
"I miss him," Arden says softly and I gave her a small smile.
"We'll make sure you get to see him after tour or when we have a show in LA if we have time, ok?" I reassure her and she seems content with my response.
Soon enough, it was our turn to board the eye and we all walked in together with a few other people.
Arden, Grace, and I moved to a corner and when the doors closed, we began moving. It scared Arden that we were getting higher so she clung on tightly to one of my hands with both of hers.
I chuckled before lifting her onto my hip and then wrapping my free arm around Grace to pull her into my side.
We all watched the view together and I couldn't help but smile, "Lovely way to spend the day with my girls."
I gave them both kisses on their cheeks before looking back to admire the wonderful view.
After we got off, we went to a cute little restaurant for lunch before we sadly had to go.
-
"That's a lot of birds."
I laughed lightly at Arden's comment as I gently brushed some of the hair away that was falling into her face.
We had finished the show and Grace, Arden and I came back to the hotel to have a chill night, so we were currently watching 'James and the Giant Peach' as promised. Grace and I laid on our backs as Arden lay in between the two of us.
Suddenly, Arden turned over onto her belly so that she was facing us, "Can I tell you something?"
"Of course," I said and Grace nodded in agreement.
Arden sighed, "I don't want to do dance any more."
A small smile formed onto my face because she was so cute, "Ok Princess, you don't have to if you don't want to. Is there something else you wanted to get into?"
She smiled, "Yeah. Art!"
"Art? Like drawing and painting type of art?"
She nods before getting up to grab something from her backpack. I paused the movie and Grace and I sat up a bit. Arden came back with a few papers in hand and laid them out in front of us.
I soon realized that these were drawings Arden had made...they were incredible.
The detail they had for an 8 year old was so incredibly impressive, "Woah these are amazing Arden!" Grace complimented the drawings of random things; guitars, people, lamps, trees.
"When did you draw these?" I ask.
"I draw them when I'm in the dressing room with Casey. He told me to show you guys!"
"Yeah, I'm glad you did! We'll have to put you in art classes when we get back from tour!" I smile.
"Where are we going to live after tour? In Australia or LA?" She questions.
I looked over at Grace, but she just shrugged, "I go where you go because I can transfer schools."
"I think all of the boys were thinking about moving to LA, but no decisions have been made yet," I tell them.
"I think we should move back to LA so I can play with Parker every day!"
"Maybe," I chuckled.
