Michael's POV
"The bed section!" Ash said in an announcer voice as we entered the bed section of IKEA.
Arden giggled at his silliness and we all spread out across the aisles, looking for new beds.
"Calum I think you should get this one," Luke laughed as he pointed to a bright pink bed.
"Oh yeah totally," Calum laughs.
It took us awhile but we eventually found all of the beds we needed. We then moved on to look for other furniture needed throughout our places.
"Mike, you guys have to get a big table because you know we are all going to be over there for dinner," Ash says.
Grace laughs, "He's got a point."
When we finished picking out the boring stuff, like tables, we got to the fun part; room decorating. Grace and I took Arden over to look at paint samples for her room. She still wasn't sure if she wanted pink or blue for her walls so we looked at multiple shades.
"I think I want my room to be black," Calum said as he looked at the paints.
"You should get like that chalkboard paint stuff so you can write on it," Luke suggested to him.
"Oh yeah! That'd be sick!"
"Wait we still haven't decided if we are going to stay in separate apartments or move into a house," Ash chimes in.
"Oh yeah! Well Luke, the house is three bedrooms and I know you are really considering moving in with your girl but....." Calum trailed off and wiggled his eyebrows.
"Well 'my girl' has a name and it's Kamryn... but it sounds like a good idea. I mean I was going to stay with Mike for a bit, but no offense guys," He turns to Grace and I, "I don't feel like third wheeling all the time."
"What? Third wheeling?" I joke, "You would have Arden!"
They laughed at this, "Anyways, yeah I'm down," Luke tells them.
"Didn't you guys sign a lease for your apartment already?" Grace asks.
"Yeah, but since we were still debating, we chose the month by month option. So we can move out anytime as long as we pay that month's rent," Ash explained.
"Oh! That was smart," Grace said.
"Yeah..." Cal sighed, "We aren't always smart, but we have our moments."
Arden finally decided to paint her room a light blue color and her and Grace went off to pick out decorations and comforters.
I went with the boys so we could all pick out comforters for our beds, "Ok so Cal, if our rooms are black then we can pretty much have whatever comforter."
Luke had also decided to paint his room with chalkboard paint, "Yeah but it would be cool if we found ones with black in the pattern too," Calum suggested.
"Ash what color are you painting your room," I ask.
"Like navy blue. I think I'm just going to get this black comforter with navy blue stripes," He says, pulling one that he liked off of the shelf.
"Oh that one is cool."
While Luke and Cal were picking theirs out, Grace and Arden came back over, "Look at the one I picked, Mikey!" Arden said excitedly as she showed me the light blue comforter that matched her walls and had pink flowers.
"Oh that's so pretty Arden!" I smiled.
Grace and I then picked our comforter out. All of us moved on after to pick out other decorations.
Needless to say, we spent a lot of time in IKEA.
After we paid, we all headed back to mine and Grace's house. We agreed to let the boys store all of their furniture and decorations (besides their beds) in our garage until they got their house.
Then the left to go set up their beds, promising to come back after and help us at our house.
"Ok... where do we start?" Grace asked as we stepped inside.
"Well Arden's room is the only room we are painting. Let's paint that first so it dries and we can set her stuff up later," I said and the girls agreed.
All three of us changed into clothes that we could get paint on and Grace put her hair up in a bun before helping Arden to do the same. We got the paint trays and brushes before starting to paint.
We worked pretty fast and her room wasn't that big so it didn't take us long to paint it all.
"Woo!" Grace cheered and high fived us.
We then moved onto our room to set up our bed. While we were doing it, the boys came in the house, "We are back!"
"We are in here!" I called out to them.
They came in and Ash offered to help us setup the bed while Cal and Luke took Arden into the kitchen to put together the table.
-
"Thank you guys so much for helping us out," I smiled as we all finally settle down onto our couches, after getting all of our furniture into place.
"Yeah, we really appreciate it," Grace adds in.
"No problem! I'm excited that everything is falling into place for us," Luke smiles and we all agreed.
"Arden, do you like your new room?" Ash asks.
Arden smiles and nods, "I love it!"
The paint in her room had dried so we set up all of her furniture and Grace put up this cute white tree decal. She was in love with her room and it made me extremely happy.
"So are you guys going to call about the house tomorrow?" Grace questions.
"Yep! We are going to get it all dialed in!" Cal announces happily.
"Yay! That's so great!" Grace cheers.
We ended up just ordering a pizza and chilling out for the rest of the night, enjoying our time together.
