Ashlyn's POV: I can't believe he just kissed me. I didn't see that coming. I mean I guess he's pretty attractive but I can't date him. My dad would kill me.

(Ashlyn sneaks into the house hoping her dad doesn't hear her.)

Tim: You were supposed to be home by 9:00. It's 9:15!

Ashlyn: I'm sorry dad. I was working on a project with my friend and we finished a little late.

Tim: Oh yeah I'm sure you just finished late.

(Tim gets up and walks toward Ashlyn.)

Ashlyn: That is the reason. I promise!

Tim: Don't raise your voice at me young lady. Who was this friend you were working with?!

Ashlyn: His name is Hunter.

Tim: Oh so you were with a boy?

Ashlyn: Yes Sir. But like I said, we were working on a school project.

Tim: So lets recap. You went to a boy's house and came home 15 minutes late.

Ashlyn: I'm sorry dad

Tim: Sorry isn't gonna cut it Ashlyn!

(He gets out a belt and starts hitting Ashlyn with it. Ashlyn is screaming in pain.)

Tim: Shut up Ashlyn! Stop screaming!

Ashlyn's POV: It hurt so bad. I was screaming and crying because the pain was so bad. He told me to shut up and I did my best. He threw me on to the ground and started kicking me as hard as he could. This was the hardest he had ever beaten me.

Tim: Get up and go to your room now!

Ashlyn: (still crying) Yes Sir.

Hunter's POV: Why did she just run off like that. I mean I guess that might not have been the best time to kiss her but still, I feel like she is hiding something. I really like her. I don't know what to do.

(Hunter walks into the kitchen where his mom is doing the dishes.)

Mary: Hey Hunter. I figured you would have gone back upstairs by now. Is everything okay?

Hunter: Yep totally fine. But just one quick question. I'm not looking to date anyone at the moment. But if I wanted to you wouldn't care right?

Mary: Not at all honey. Why would I care?

Hunter: Didn't think you would but I was just wondering. Goodnight.

Mary: Goodnight honey.
