Keeping Secrets

Part 2

Ellie

As I joined the line, I could see about five thousand other girls in the line. It'll be at least three hours until I get to them. I was close to the end of the line, but I wanted to be in the very back. I let everyone behind me go in front of me just so I could have the longest turn with the boys. I don't care how long I'm kept waiting. They're my idols and I'd do anything to meet them. My phone started buzzing in the pocket of the hoodie.

"Hello?" I answered.

"Hey Ellie, where are you? I'm in the middle of the line." Lana's voice said through the phone. How?! I like just got in line!

"How? I'm at the very end of the line! Come back here!" I exclaimed.

"Well it was rather easy, a bunch of people let me cut them for some reason. I'll be there in a bit, bye, Ellie." Lana hung up after she finished her sentence. Rude much?

I waited in the line for Lana, and she appeared moments later, emerging from the line before me.

"Hey! What'd I miss?" I asked Lana as she stood next to me.

"Nothing much. Why are we at the back of the line?! This makes no sense!" Lana exclaimed, obviously not getting my logic.

"Well the boys said that they spend the most time with the last fans at the meet and greet, and I'm sure you wanna see them for quite awhile, so you better listen to me so we can see them for longer!" I hadn't noticed that I raised my voice and was practically yelling.

"CALM DOWN, ELLIE! We'll just wait here then!" Lana replied, clearly pissed.

I sighed and mentally took a chill pill. After about an hour of waiting, I had to use the bathroom. We only had to wait for the second half of the line, which would take another hour or so.

"Lana, I gotta go to the bathroom. I'll be back, and don't get out of line. No matter what. If anyone else comes behind you, let them go in front of you." I said, making sure she understood what I was saying. She nodded in response.

I quickly walked out of my spot and to the bathrooms, which were conveniently located just down one of the corridors. I picked up my pace and was out of the bathroom and back to Lana in ten minutes.

"We're so close to them! I can't believe it!" Lana shrieked.

"I know, right? But it feels like we've been waiting for a lifetime!" I replied with just as much excitement.

The line moved closer and closer to the boys, and it was almost our turn to meet them.

Liam pulled out a bullhorn and shouted into it, "attention Fangirls, we've gotta get going, sorry to those of you still waiting! But we're gonna make an exception for the group at the very end because they've been waiting the longest. Please step up to the front!"

Lana and I squealed as we made our way to the front of the line. I had pure adrenaline pumping through me as we reached the front. I was going to meet my idols.
