I wake up the next morning feeling nervous, but excited to see Joel.

I go into the kitchen to find Kasey pouring some milk into her cereal bowl. "I see you're going to school today." I say. She jumps and spills some of the milk. "You scared me!" She yells, putting her hand over her left breast dramatically. "Oops." I say walking towards her. "And, yes I'm going to school today. Why wait?" She says cleaning up the milk she spilled. "Mmhmm." I reply searching for something to eat. We don't talk for the rest of the morning. When I get on the bus I see nobody who is familiar. I walk towards an empty seat when someone trips me. I fall to the ground slamming my chin on the floor of the bus. I look behind me to find a few members-if that's what you wanna call them- from the "Popular Group" sitting in a bus seat laughing at me. I get up. Kept walking, and ignored them. Listening to what Joel told me to do. I sit down in the empty seat. At the next stop another alternitive girl like me got on. She asks to sit beside me. I say yes and she sits down putting her backpack on her lap. We don't talk for a while. Until she says: "Hi, I'm Avery." "Hey.." I say shyly, giving a little wave. "What's your name?" She asks. "What?" I say, staring blankly. "Oh! Sorry, It's-my name's Alexis; but a lot of people call me Lex." I say. "Nice name." She says back. "Thanks.." I say agn, with that feeling of awkwardness. When I get to school I find Joel at his locker. "Hey!" He says smiling wide. "Finally someone familiar." I gasp with relive, hugging him. "You'll find some friends." he says, while we are hugging. "Well, I got to get to class." He says after a while. "Alright, see you after school." I reply. And we kiss goodbye. This is going to be a long day. I think to myself.
