The day was going by pretty good, Joel was in two of my classes. English and Science. *Ring* It was lunch time. I go into the cafeteria searching for Joel. I can't find him anywhere. I don't know where to sit,so I go to an empty table by the garbage cans. I'm not hungry, so I throw my lunch in the garbage can and just sit there. I try looking for Joel again, when my eye caught the other alternative girl that sat by me on the bus. She was looking at me, but turned away when she saw me looking at her. She was sitting with four other alternative people. I look down at the table when someone taps me on the shoulder. I look up to see that girl on the bus looking at me. "Wanna come sit with us?" She asks nicely. "Uhh.. sure." I reply. Whenever I look at her, I get distracted for some reason. She is beautiful. She has contacts in that made her iris a cloudy light blue, her hair was black, like mine, and she had it in a messy bun. I also notice it has a bit of blue dye in it. I get up and follow her to the table. I sit down beside her. "Sorry, but I forget your name." I say to her blushing. "It's Avery, and no big deal. You're Alexis right?" She asks. "Yeah, but you can call me Lex." I reply half-smiling. "May I introduce you to everyone?" She asks. "Yeah, sure." I reply. She tells me the names of all her friends, but then she pauses at the last person. The girl sitting beside Avery. "And, This is my girlfriend Bella." She says smiling. "O- Oh." I say. "You're not against gay rights are you?" She asks me with a sweet little girl face. "Uhm, no, no I'm not." I say. "Oh, Well good." She replys smiling. Maybe I will make new friends. These ones seem-different, but pretty cool.
I didn't see Joel for the rest of the day. So, as soon as I got home I called him.
~Phone Conversation~
*Brrrriiinnnngg*
Joel: "Hello?"
Alexis: "Hey, Where you today?!"
Joel: "I was-er-I left early."
Alexis: "Uhm, okay. Why?"
Joel: "Why do you have to be on m back all the time, Alexis?!"
Alexis: Uhm, okay. Bye then."
I hung up, but before I did, I heard a voice. It was Tori's voice. Why would Mrs. Popular be at Joel's house?
*FLASH-BACK*
I walked down the hall to see Tori leaning against the locker beside Joel's, Looking at him while twirling her hair. Flirting. I got so mad. I stomped up to them and said "Uhh, why are you here?" "Just talking to your ex." she said smiling mischiviously. "Seriously, get out of here." I said pushing her out of the way. "Whoa, easy Alexis." Joel said to me. "Why do you care?" I said staring into his eyes. He didn't answer my question. He just told Tori that they'd talk later and said to me "You know you'll get in trouble if you start another fight like last year. You almost got suspended Lex!" "What's wrong with you?" I walked away after I said that.
Joel can't be cheating on me, especially with that thing. No way, could it be true? I was so upset that I just went to sleep.
