Chapter 13 (Not Broken)

Before I begin the next chapter, I need to state that I might not be updating for a while after this because i'm not getting as many views as I use to and also because im not so into it anymore I have no motivation. I will try and update as soon as I get more inspiration and thought back into my head. So I hope you enjoy this chapter because it may be the last one for a while.. sorry xx (:

I looked up from kissing Harry to find Emily standing there rolling her eyes in disbelief.

"Why isn't she dead?" I heard her whisper to herself

"Awwe, is someone disappointed that she couldn't win a battle. Maybe if you want something done you should just do it yourself!" I snickered rolling my eyes

She began to walk closer to me, I felt Harry grab me and hold onto me tightly.

"If you touch her, I will kill you myself and make it painful" Harry yelled

That didn't stop her from coming closer and getting in my face.

"Your a lucky girl, because if Harry wasn't here you would have already been in pieces"

"No, because you want to turn me..you don't want to kill me." I replied

I began to feel tension in the room between Harry and Emily. They would glare at each other every once in a while and even give the death stare. After what I said Emily stayed silent because she knew I was right. Harry soon released me making me think that he was at ease with Emily, but I knew he wasn't. I felt Harry get up off the couch and walk over to Emily sitting across the room.

"Harry.." I yelled because I knew he was going to do something he may regret

"Katie, not now." he yelled back scaring me a little

I saw a dark look in his eyes and that's when it happened. He tried to kill her, but instead her reflexes were too fast. It was a war between them, they were pushing each other against everything.

"STOP!" I kept yelling they didn't listen.

I got up off the couch and grabbed onto Harry catching his attention. His eyes began to lighten as I looked into them. Suddenly I felt a strong pressure on the back of my neck that sent a tingly sensation through my body.

Harrys POV~

She caught my attentions stopping me from  going any further with Emily but it was a mistake. As soon as I took my eyes off Emily she took advantage of that and bit right into Katie's neck leaving her on the floor shaking.

"Let's hope this works..maybe it will work now" Emily said looking me in the eyes

"It will never work, you can't turn people. You not capable.." I screamed almost falling to my knees

"That's what I led you to believe, just wait and see" she whispered into my ear before heading towards the door to leave.

"KATIE! WAKE UP!" a tear slid down my face unsure if she was dead or alive. I was really hoping Emily was lying, and that she still wasn't able to turn people. Being a vampire is a horrible thing to go through and no one deserves the pain, the guilt, and the suffering we go through. If Katie turns, all her innocence is going to be wiped away. Everything will change once Katie is a vampire, things will be tougher.

"Katie.. please wake up and be fine.." I whispered secretly praying she would awaken.

"Har--r-ry.." she stuttered while whispering

I lifted my head up in relief that she was alive, and hearing her say my name made me smile.

"Whats going on?" she asked in confusion looking me into the eyes"

"I'm glad your ok!" I moved in for a hug but she rejected

"My body hurts, and my nose is- is burning"

First thing that comes to my mind was the signs that she was turning.

"DAMN IT!" I yelled standing up

"Harry.. what's wrong?"

I walked back over to her an leaned down to her.

"I think your changing.." I whispered and the look on her face just tore me apart

END OF HARRY's POV~

As those words came out of his mouth, my heart fell. I couldn't be changing, I didn't want to become a vampire. After all the things Harry told me about it I never wanted to become something so evil.

"WHAT! HOW!?" I yelled frightened

"Emily bit you when you were trying to distract me..she took advantage of that and bit you"

"Are you sure because she said she wasn't able -"

"I'm not sure, yet... but I guess we'll have to see just stay inside ok?"

"Ok, I will. How do you know though, like how will you know if Im turning?"

"Oh trust me, you will know before I do.. so try to be strong" he said walking into the other room

What the hell did he mean by that? How will I know, I don't know the signs of a vampire forming. I just sat there trying to think but I couldn't because my head was pounding. Everything I did made my wonder if it was a sign of my changing. Harry then came back out with blood bags.

"Maybe if I just sit these here we will be able to see if your attracted to them.."

"Are you serious... do you really think that will work..?"

"Vampires drink blood don't they?" he snickered with a little laugh

I could smell the blood, I wanted to drink it but I think it was just my mind taking over. I honestly don't think I was turning it was my mind playing tricks making me believe that I was changing. We sat there for about ten minutes until he got up and opened them up making the smell stronger. Maybe I was changing, but I didn't want Harry to know that. Him knowing I was turning into a vampire would break him apart even if he was one himself.

"Nothing.." I said looking him in the eyes

He then brought them closer to me waving them in my face.

"I know your lying, I can hear it in your voice." his voice cracked

"IM NOT FUCKING LYING!!! I DONT WANT THE BLOOD" I yelled grabbing the blood bags and throwing them across the room. I then fell to my knees crying in pain.

"Katie.. come here" Harry whispered as he pulled me close to him. He hugged as tight as he could my tears falling onto his shirt.

"I'm not ok, I'm scared" I cried

"Listen, I will help you through it. Don't let Derek or Emily give you any advice you understand me?" he said in a stern tone

"Yeah, can you promise me something?" I sniffled into his warm chest

"What? What ever it is, I will keep a promise.." he whispered kissing my head

"Be with me forever, no matter what. Please don't leave me!"

"Katie... I promise I will love you until the death of me! Can you promise me the same?" he laughed

"I promise I will love you for eternity!"

He began to run my back putting me at ease and clearing my mind a bit.

"Thank You" I whispered before falling asleep in his arms. Finally my mind was at ease and I had no worries.
