Dear Zelda,
Everyone back home is great and we all miss you tons. Especially Rachelor. And I do feed him, thanks for reminding me anyway.
And Rachelor has been a really bad cat. The other day when the neighbors kid came home because she needed sugar she wanted to play with Rachelor while I went to get her some sugar. When I got back I was just talking to the girl while stroking Rachelor's furless head. So before the girl left she wanted quickly stroke the cat but Rachelor decides to get angry at her because she stopped me from stroking his head. He bit the girl! He actually bit the girl! The poor girl was traumatized looking at the blood. I took her to the hospital and got her a shot. Her parents weren't home so I had to call them. I of course gave Rachelor his punishment for being a bad cat and put him in the cage.
Leaving that aside, I'm glad you're having fun at the archeology site. Don't forget to tell me if you find something super cool. Or if you find the fossil of something that no one has seen before.
And of course I remember the day we met. How could I ever forget that day? That was the day I met the silliest but most adorable thing ever. I'm referring to both Rachelor and you! Just kidding, you come first :)
When you retold the story of the first day I remembered the day when the two of us snuck out of our respective dorm rooms at 8:00 pm and went to the nearby movie theatre to watch the perks of being a wallflower because both of us desperately wanted to watch it on the fist day of its premier. Love for that book was one other thing we both had in common. People say opposites attract, but just look at us, we like almost the same things!
The key word is almost. We weren't dating then.
That was one hell of a night. After the movie we decided to go to the beach. We spent the entire night there. We even slept on the abandoned pier like thing because we didn't want to get caught!
When we got to the beach it was really calm because everyone had left and we were the only two people there. The silence and beauty there seemed almost surreal. The weather was perfect and the waves were quite high because of the tide. The moon shone down on the water making everything look even more magical. Too poetic? Well anyway.
What killed the magic was us, when we decided to peg up because well, we had a holiday the following day and you had a bottle of vodka in the car.So then came out the alcohol. Initially we said we were drinking to this fun night and then it just became a series of waterworks once you were drunk. That was the night you told me your biggest secret. You trusted me for the first time. You told me about how Emily and you were adopted when your parents abandoned the two of you at the age of 7. You told me about how they just left you there in the middle of nowhere alone and when you found someone and went to the police your parents were nowhere to be found. They had changed their identity I guess because of which they couldn't be found.
I remember making a drunk promise to you that I'd find your parents so you could tell them that you two are doing great without them and that you don't need them. The next day I gave you my sober word that I'd keep that drunk promise.
I'd found it really hard to believe that you two had gone through so much because from what people could see, the two of you were really happy people!
But again everyone has a past. Everyone has a story.
I find it rather shocking that someone could abandon their own children after being with them for 7 years! That's just insane!
You said that they had left you and you both had to walk a lot in order to find a place or a person. You were stronger but Emily had started crying and you had to console her and try to find a way back.
I couldn't see you like that. You seemed so sad and that made me sad.Although that mood didn't last long because you decided that all of that was too much drama so you suggested that we vandalise public property also because you had spray paints in the back of your car. And so we did that. We went to the sign in front of the beach and painted over it. I don't want to go into the details of what we painted because let's admit it. If someone opens this even by mistake it wouldn't be nice...
After vandalising we got back to the pier and realised that we had only one blanket. Which we had to share because it was really cold that night. Not complaining one bit ;)
I remember the feeling of sitting there close to you under one blanket looking at the clear sky with the beautiful moon and stars. I just knew at that moment that you were going to be mine.
And you most certainly did become mine.
I did a full SHERLOCK marathon last week! I don't have to go to the work place for 15 days because the company finished that really big project that I was working on. My people will finish off the other work. But that's not the point. I was doing the marathon and just before the episode with the cat I got Rachelor to sit with me and I got the exact same reaction that we get everytime he sees that cat! He growled at the TV, pushed the nearest thing he could find and walked away! Cat's I tell you....
I hope to hear from you soon!
Yours with love,
Zac
