Dear Zac,

One of my most favorite adventures with you is from a few weeks before I left for the archeology site,  when Emily's daughter turned 5

I can't believe she's already 5 and I can't believe we're already 28! Holy shit! Time sure can fly!

Remember the day Emily's water broke and I was at a conference and you were in an important meeting. There was no one to take her to the hospital. She could have asked the guy who did that to her but you know, her ego is way up there.

The minute I got the call I was in the middle of asking a question and I picked up the call because it was Emily and I literally just dropped the microphone in my hand and ran out the conference room and drove straight to the house and rushed her to the hospital. She ended up being in labor for 14 hours so, oh well...

Anyway back to the adventure. So Freya turns 5 years old and she comes to us and says, "did you get me a gift already because if you haven't then I know exactly what you can get for me"

With a smile I tell her, "Anything you want honey"

"Let's go on an adventure to that Hill to find the fairy that lives there" she says and the two of us smile and agree to take her.

So the next day she's all dressed up in pink sweats with this huge bag which she shoves in your face and asks you to carry it.

"What is in here?" You ask with a frown on your face.

"It's gifts for the fairy silly!" She says shaking her head. "Honestly Zelda! What do you see in him?"

"I can't believe you're only 5 years old!" I said laughing at her.

"Can we go! I don't want the fairy to leave!" She said and walked outside the front door.

"Freya! Honey, let's meet your mother before we go" I said and she came back inside.

"So you guys off for your little adventure?" She asks and all three of us nod our heads and then started laughing. Not Freya but the rest of us.

After talking to Em for a while the three of us headed out and sat in the car as I drove towards the hill that Freya was talking about which was a couple of cities away. It would be at least a one and a half day drive and we'd be stopping at a hotel in the night.

The ride through the outskirts was really a beautiful one. It goes from city buildings to beautiful trees. Driving has always been my favorite way to spend my time or when I want to get away and be to myself I'd just pick up my keys, grab some money and just drive.
And you always understood. Before I met you I had to literally tell people every time 'I'm going to drive around a little bit because I'm upset and don't want to see anyone'
But with you all I have to do was say I'm going for a drive and you understand.

So after long and fun hours of driving we reached the hill at 8 in the morning. Freya excitedly runs out the car and we follow. All throughout I had hoped that Freya wouldn't feel too bad if she doesn't see any fairies there.

After about 2 hours of climbing we reached the top and it seemed like a very barren land. The minute we reached there I looked at Freya and she seemed disappointed. "There are no fairies here are there?" She asked expectantly at the two of us.

"I'm afraid not" I said kneeling down beside her.

"Who's that person who said there are no fairies?" I heard a women's voice. When I looked up to see who it was. I was surprised to see that new intern at the company. She was dressed in a very beautiful flowy pink dress and portrayed the perfect fairy.

"It was me but I suppose I'm wrong" I said looking at Freya's wide and happy smile.

You had arranged all this because you knew Freya would be disappointed. How adorable!

"Fairy would you take the gifts I've got for you?" Freya asked her.

"It's really kind of you to get me a gift but, my love, a fairy's job is to give gifts and spread happiness and not take anything in return. I'm afraid I will have to say I cannot take them" she said with a smile. "But I'm sure you will be able to use what you got me"

"I will. But can you keep this card?" Freya asked the fairy.

"Yes my child. I can and I'd be happy to" she said to Freya with a smile.

The next few hours were spent on the hill talking to 'Fairy'. It was a lot of fun especially because I was able to see Freya so happy. It's every child's wish to either meet Santa or a fairy. And Freya was able to meet her fairy because of you.
Maybe ten years from now if you tell her she may laugh and thank you or be upset with you. Never know. But all I know is that she's happy now and it's because of us. Mostly you but I'm going to take credit because I was the one that drove so....

Anyways this'll probably be my last letter to you because apparently the post office here is shutting down and if I have to send a letter I'll have to go at least 10 kilometers and we're not allowed to go that far..
Okay, I'm going to end this here....

Love you to the moon and back,
Zelda.

P.S. You're like a fairy because you're always making people happy! Don't try to deny it because we both know that it's true. You're always trying to make me happy. Even when I'm happy you want to make me happier. I love you Zac!
