The Louvre was possibly the greatest art museum on earth, with masterful paintings and sculptures.
Kaine hated it.
Getting in was no problem. A couple air vents later, he was in.
He was wearing his signature stealth suit. Completely black, along with a quick release waist pack containing some questionable substances.
His target? A portrait of Napoleon.
Guards are swarming the Louvre today. Even more so than usual, and Kaine has visited three times in the past.
They're not exactly a problem. He quickly weaves his way through the museum, and finds his mark.
This is going to be tricky. There is a switch, just on the inside of the painting, that will open the entrance. But if he touches any other part of the painting, he's dead.
Not exactly how you'd want to spend you Saturday morning.
But for the Scarlet Spider of Houston, this is heaven.
He carefully examines the painting. Personally, he could care less if he damages it. It's a portrait of a man who thought he could conquer the world. Was it glory? Was he trying to save it?
Kaine focuses on a tiny little speck out of place. He quickly extends his stingers, and....
A guard passes by him. He's in the shadows, and hidden. But the guard has no reaction. He turns, robotically almost...
Kaine curses. He's dealing with either brainwashed men, or robots. Both are equally bad.
If it's a robot, it's disguised quite well. He still smells like a human male. No, they're brainwashed.
This complicates things.
He waits until the robot passes, and moves to the painting. He works quickly, scraping that tiny speck, and poking that spot ever so gently. Nothing happens.
Then he sees a tiny arrow on Napoleon's face, which definitely not there a minute ago. The arrow points to... A corner? He quickly examines it, ands pokes it.
His hand goes straight through.
Kaine smiles for the first time today.
He walks through.
