Hannah sat down on the silky sand of west Kirby bay, breathing in the salty sea air of the mid afternoon tide. She loved this time of day, school finished for summer and she just got to relax on the beach everyday, all day. Granted she was always on her own, but she didn't let a little thing like that change her mood. She had Ollie, her giant crazy Labrador and Sometimes she had grace, her crazy blonde best friend to join her as well.Hannah wasn't one of the popular kids at school, she was short and wore glasses and button up shirts, she never wore dresses only ever jeans or shorts. But her best friend grace was the complete opposite, she loved dresses and make up and all that rubbish.
Grace always told her she would under stand when she was older, but that just infuriated the younger girl. She was only 3 and a half years older than Hannah!
Hannah was 9 at this point in her life, looking out at the crystal water she sighed.
She wished she was graces age, she wished she understood the so called importance of makeup and dresses, she wished grace would take her seriously, She wished she was someone else...---
Hannah jumped out of bed the next day, grabbing an apple and shouting a quick goodbye to her sister. Who was currently coloring in the living room. Hannah lived on a small beach house in Perth, Australia. She and her little sister Maggie lived with there auntie, who has the sweetest human in the world.
Her parents had left them when Hannah was 2, they were never seen or heard from again.
Hannah was glad. She loved her aunt.
Her aunt had cared for them and taken them in when on one else would, she loved them more than anyone. So they took extra care to cook and clean the house for her while she was busy at work.
She saw grace and a few of her friends sitting on the beach, catching graces eyes she started walking in the opposite direction.
Grace didn't like Hannah there when her friends were, she thought it made her seem less cool.
Hannah grabbed her book, pulling out some headphones and sitting on the opposite side of the beach to grace. She was reading
'The famous five'
One of her favorite books.
She was also listening to one of her favorite songs that one of graces friends had wrote for her when they met.
It was called 'WILD' by troye sivan.
He was a bit younger than the others so he knew how she felt, left out.
That's how she felt.
So she stayed away from them, but she always smiled at troye when he smiled at her.
She pressed play, singing quietly under her breath. After a while she felt someone lightly tugging on one of her headphones, looking up to see the one and only troye smiling at her.
She smiled back, closing her book and sitting up.
"hey troye" she giggled hugging him, he hugged her back. Sitting by her and pulling out his guitar,
"hey Hannah, why are you sitting over here on your own?"
she looked down playing with her hands, "grace doesn't like me sitting with her friends"he pulled her to him,
"do you want me to read to you?" she grinned, nodding at him.
It was a tradition of theres, because Hannah didn't have a big brother and troye didn't have a younger sister they looked out for each other.
