Hannah hart was many things.
An optimist. A friend. A daughter. A sister. A lover of animals. But one thing she wasn't, was a fool, when Hannah moves to Oakley high school she found a girl she really couldn't stick.
She didn't care about how she had no reason to hate her, but they both had an utter resentful feeling in the pit of their stomach for each other.
"Hart" grace sneered, passing her in the hall way and flicking her shoulder length blonde hair. "Smellbig" Hannah smirked, enjoying the frustrated glare set in graces features as her jaw locked down, pursing her lips at Hannah and trying not to growl.
Grace flipped Hannah off, walking down the hallway followed by her possy consisted of dian kang and jack ferry.
Hannah rolled her eyes, looking forward and muttering "idiot" under her breath, only to be greeted by an angry looking Mamrie.
"What's up dude" Hannah greeted her, pretending to ignore her anger as she played with the cuff of her new blue button down. "Hannah!" Mamrie whined, "you didn't walk beanz last night! I was fucking late to school because I had to walk the overexcited motherfucker"
Hannah looked down, feeling bad for the disapproving glare her sister was throwing her way.
"Sorry mames" Hannah said apologetically, looking down at her bag and kicking the floor like a scolded teenager. Truthfully That's what she was, 17 made her almost an adult but not quite there yet.
Mamrie and grace where both 18 and Hannah felt small compared to her sister. Mamrie smirked, "I saw your run in with helbig, what was it today?"
Hannah clenched her jaw, "nothing, she just annoys the hell out of me"
Mamrie rolled her eyes fondly, "I don't see why you two don't get on, she didn't do anything to you and you didn't do anything to her"
"She's a bitch and she knows it" Hannah spat, feeling heat rush to her face as a teacher shot her a disapproving glance.
They parted ways, Mamrie running off to English and Hannah off to Japanese. A class she unfortunately shared with grace, because it was there last lesson on a Friday their teacher was okay with letting them listen to music while they worked. Hannah turning on some piano music and got her head down, she heard giggling behind her.
Turning round to see grace laughing at something dian said, she shot Hannah a dirty look. Making the short blonde roll her eyes and finish her work sheet. She muttered absentmindedly under her breath, trying to figure out the sheet.
"Ushi... Sakana... Neko... Inu" she frowned, trying to piece together her work.
"What are you doing?" She looked up to see the girl next to her smiling brightly at her, her Bob of brown hair and chocolate eyes making Hannah smile back. "I'm just trying to figure out the work sheet"
The girl offered Hannah her hand, "Watashinonamaeha Ingrid" the girl said shyly as Hannah shook her hand.
"Watashinonamaeha Hannah" Hannah and Ingrid talked for the rest of the lesson, swapping answers and phone numbers. "Yeah, I'd love you to meet my girlfriend Sarah some time, you two would get on great" Hannah giggled at Ingrid's words, already knowing swike quiet well.
"Great, I'll call you"
Hannah was last in the classroom to grab her stuff, throwing it all into her bag and grabbing her beanie.
She rounded a corner, zipping up her jacket and pulling out her headphones before stopping dead in her tracks.
"Get off!" A girls weak voice rang through the empty hallways of her school.
"Not until you tell me how much you want me" a guy's sick laugh rang out as Hannah looked around to see if anyone else had noticed this obvious sexism happening a few metres near her, followed by a girls scream. Hannah threw her bag on the floor, running down the corridors to where Sam pepper had grace up against a locker.
Hannah turned him round, punching him in the face. As he staggered back she pulled grace behind her, slowly moving towards the boy and clenching her fists.
"If you ever set hands on her again I swear to god.." Hannah kicked him in the stomach, watching as he bended over before slapping him on the face and walking away.
As she collected her stuff off the floor she felt a hand lie flat on her shoulder.
"That was- uhm, thank you" grace whispered, lightly kissing Hannah's cheek before walking away, not fast enough to see the pink flush rise to the younger girls face.
Hannah smiled slightly, "no problem helbig" she whispered to no one in particular as grace had already left, putting on her headphones before walking home.
As she got home she went to sleep thinking of her arch enemy- as she did every night.
But tonight, she didn't dream of throwing a punch at the older girls face, she dreamed of having grace up against a locker. Lips locked and legs entangled. She woke up with a start, looking at the time to see the clock hitting 2am. She heard gently gravel rocks hitting her window, and she sat up, rubbing her eyes and opening the window only to be hit in the forehead.
That woke her up.
"Sorry!" A girls voice echoed through the street before she looked up and saw a pink grace helbig sitting in the tree house out side her window. Her hair messy and short heels in hand, pink dress blowing in the light Autumn wind. She looked gorgeous.
"Grace?" Hannah whispered, looking at the girl thinking she might be slightly insane, trying not to let her eyes wonder down graces body.
"What are you doing here?" Hannah grinned all the same, suddenly glad to see her enemy outside her window.
"I- uhm, went out with some friends and ran into some trouble with Sam pepper, Mamrie gave me your address"
Hannah glared through her open bedroom door at Mamrie's closer one, feeling quite betrayed that Mamrie would do suck a thing.
"Can you come out here?" Grace asked quietly, making Hannah tilt her head and look at grace confused.
"Why? you do know Mamrie's window is down there." Hannah pointed, making grace roll her eyes and pull Hannah out by the collar of her vest. Her hand brushing against Hannah's warm chest, making the younger girl shiver. Grace obviously took her uncomfortableness as something different, as she handed the girl her jacket. Placing it gently over Hannah's shoulders and giggling as she slipped it on. "that is way to big for you" grace smiled, straightening the jacket as the hood fell over Hannah's head.
Hannah shook it off, suddenly intensely aware of her shorts and tee and the fact she wasn't wearing a bra.
"Okay, again, why did you come to my window. Mamrie is down there" Hannah pointed out again, ignoring grace amused expression and scowling into the darkness.
"I know, you dumb dumb! I heard you talking in your sleep" grace raised a delicate eyebrow, fighting off a smirk. "Interesting dream?"
Hannah was now extremely grateful for the dark, knowing that her face had flushed bright red.
"C-cant remember" she stuttered, pulling out of graces grasp and walking over to the window by the edge of the tree house.
"Whys there a bed in here?" Grace asked, the abrupt question making Hannah laugh. "This is where I bring my dates"
Hannah reached out, flicking the fairy lights on and smiling softly as grace gazed around the now bright room.
"This is so cool" she whispered, as Hannah sat next to her on the bed. Ready to ask her a third time why she was here.
"I just, I wanted to thank you for today" grace looked down, her curls falling In Front of her head, jumping slightly as Hannah tucked them lovingly behind her ear. Something she didn't even realise she was doing,
"But you hate me" Hannah whispered, confused with the older girls actions. Grace sighed, closing her eyes and scrunching up her nose before leaning in to capture Hannah's lips in a soft kiss.
Hannah breathed in sharply, graces reaction startling her as she melted into the kiss. Wrapping her arms around graces waist to pull the girl flush against her.
Grace rolled them over, pushing Hannah against the bed and cuddling into her.
"I never hated you" she whispered, her head stuffed into Hannah's tee and her hand under the girls shirt, stroking her stomach lightly. Feeling it clench and soften every time she took breaths. "I just didn't know what to do about loving you"
And with that they drifted to sleep, Hannah's arms wrapped around grace, legs entangled and smiles big."Oi! Hannah! You better not have brought Sarah back again! I'm not having anymore of tha-"
Mamrie stopped, her gaze softening as she saw the two girls cuddled up lovingly on the small mattress.
"Well, this is new"
