Car crash (no death!)

Graces PoV

I sighed into my couch, reaching around I grabbed my phone. Squinting as the light blinded me in the night.

2:55am

I groaned, looking around the room for Hannah. I got up, finding her asleep curled up on one of the chairs.
I giggled at her cute sleeping face in her onesie, kissing her forehead and muttering,
"God I love you, you little carrot" under my breath before picking her up and laying her neatly on the couch.
I grabbed my computer, checking into my word account and pulling up my work, I had 4 more chapters to finish and then i was going to publish grace and style.

I walked into the kitchen, grabbing some coffee and a bagel and heading back to the living room.
I worked for a few hours before Hannah woke up,
"Morning Hannah" I yawned, watching her as she rubbed her eyes cutely and pushed her fringe out of her eyes for it to fall straight back where it was.
"Grace! How long have you been up?" She asked, the concern evident in her voice.
"Not long..." I mumbled, watching her look at the coffee cups and plates surrounding me in disgust.
"What time is it?" She asked, checking the clock.
"I've only been working since like...3:00. What time is it? Like 6:00?"
"Gracie!" She whined, "it's fucking 9:00! You've been working for 6 hours straight!"

I looked down at my hands, mumbling a apology under my breath.
She sighed, kissing my forehead and saying, "you don't have to apologise to me Gracie, I'm not your mother or your girlfriend, i just- you just worry me sometimes" I could hear the hurt in her voice, standing up I made her breakfast while she got dressed for her meeting.

Hannah's words swirled around in my head, confusing me. I loved her? Right? Why weren't we dating! She already practically lives here?
I made up my mind to ask her out tonight as she walked in, wearing a blue button down with black jeans and a beanie.

She was beautiful

I passed her a plate, watching as she gulped down her food. Playing with her necklace I got her for Christmas, she was adorable.
She got up, kissing my cheek and muttering a quick,
"see you later"
I smiled and kissed her forehead as she left, grabbing another cup of coffee and heading back into the living room.

I worked till 4:00 before falling asleep on the couch, drifting off into a dream world, my brain working over time. I woke up at 9:00 not knowing what day it is.
My phone ringing as I fell off the couch onto the floor, picking it up and mumbling a quick,
"hello"
"Miss helbig?" "Who's calling?" I asked, scratching my head.
"Hello I'm officer Davidson? Your friend has been in a car accident and your on her emergency contact list.
Hannah hart?"
I froze, grabbing my keys and running out the door.
The woman gave me a address, telling me not to worry as I shot passed every car not caring about the speed limit.

I ran down the road towards the flashing lights being pulled back by a police officer.
"Ma'am you can't pass" he said gruffly, "THATS MY GIRLFRIEND!" i shouted, pushing passed him and heading to the car.
Tears running down my face as I sobbed at the state of the car.
The right doors were pulled off as it lay against a tree with broken shards of glass everywhere.
Someone tapped me on the shoulder, turning round to see police officers
I breathed heavily as she told me to calm down,
"miss your friend is fine, she's just having a check up in the ambulance. You can see her in a minute"
I gasped and thanked her, sitting down on the grass and sobbing into my hands.

"Hey stranger" I looked up to Hannah standing by a car with a blanket round her shoulders.
"I fucking hate you" I shouted while running over to get and sobbing into her shoulder, "you could have died an-and" she stopped me, "Gracie, I'm fine"
I leaned in and kissed her through the tears, wrapping my arms around her waist.
"You would have died without knowing that I loved you" I sobbed, kissing her again and falling into her arms.
"I love you too Gracie, I always have.."
I pressed a small kiss to the top of her head, crying quietly.
"Hannah, your not ever aloud to leave me again? Okay. Okay?" she giggled, nodding.
"Whatever you want Gracie"
