Chapter 3

Sara's POV
We find our seats on the plane and put our carry on's above us. I keep my iPod out and keep listening to music until we take off. Once were in the air Billie looks at me and grabs my hand. I laugh "nervous?" "A little, aren't you?" I don't answer. "Can I ask you something?" Billie asks. "Sure..." "This might be stupid to ask but do you want to be my girlfriend?"

Billie's POV
She laughs "well...I kinda already am but...yeah, I do." I smile "Good."  I kiss her and we keep holding hands trying to get some more sleep. I can't sleep so I watch Sara sleeping instead. I look down at the purse in her lap and see her journal peaking out. I decide to take a look, wouldn't hurt right? I open it up to a random page. It's dated November 25th, her birthday. "Dear Journal, (I'm not calling you diary because that makes me sound like an 10 year old girl and I am in fact an adult, thank you very much.)" I laugh quietly and continue reading. "Today is my 23rd birthday! Time flies when you're not having fun. Today I spent the day alone at the clinic getting an abortion. Lovely way to spend a birthday right?" I stop reading and glance at Sara whose still asleep. Abortion? Last year...we were sleeping together last year, was she with someone else? Or was it mine? I go back to reading. "The baby...or fetus, whatever. Must have been Billie's, I haven't been with another guy in a long time. I didn't tell him because I didn't want to freak him out or have him tell me to keep it. I don't want kids, I don't need anything holding me back from going to Japan." I close the journal and slip it back in her purse quickly. I can't believe I got her pregnant and she didn't even say anything.

Sara's POV
I wake up and look over at Billie whose staring out the window, almost looking like he was about to cry. "Hey...are you okay?" I ask tiredly. He doesn't answer so I poke him playfully "Did I do something?..." "How could you not tell me I got you pregnant?" How did he know about that?! "What?.." "I got you pregnant and you got an abortion, on your birthday...alone! Why didn't you call me? I would have went with you." I don't know what to say, I can feel people on the plane staring at us. I shrug my shoulders. "We were just friends with benefits... I was scared and I didn't know what to do."

Billie's POV
She starts to tear up, now I feel bad for saying anything. "Hey..." I hug her tightly. "It's okay." I kiss her forehead and rub her back. "I'm sorry I didn't tell you..." "It's okay, baby". We don't talk much the rest of the flight but we do hold hands for close to 9 hours.

Sara's POV
He read my journal...what else did he read?! I mean did he think that was okay? Sure we're dating now but I didn't give him permission...About 9 hours later we land in Japan, finally. It's 5pm there so we get off the plane and find our way to our hotel. When we get to the room the first thing I do is start changing out of my plane clothes so we can go out for dinner. As I change Billie avoids looking at me. "You can look Bill, you've seen me naked before." He doesn't say anything, just continues unpacking some clothes. "Is it because you're thinking of what I'd look like pregnant."

Billie's POV
Spot on. "You'd look good pregnant." She ignores me and slips on a pair of ripped black skinny jeans. She turns around to face me and I see her shirt is a copy of the one that Lisbeth from one of her favorite books "The Girl with The Dragon Tattoo" wears that has E.T. with vampire fangs on it. She walks into the bathroom to fix herself up in the mirror. I watch her put on eyeliner and put an eyebrow ring in. "I didn't know you had an eyebrow piercing." "There's probably lots of things you don't know because you rarely ask." She was kinda right, as much as I love her I barely knew her.

Sara's POV
I sigh. "Ready?" He nods. We walk down to a restaurant nearby the hotel and have sushi and a couple beers. I talk to him about leaving for the forest in the morning and the man sitting next to me at the bar overhears. "Excuse me? Are you talking about the Aokigahara forest?" "Yeah, why?". "I'm a guide, I lead tourist groups through the forest and look for people inside that may need help." I shake his hand and he introduces himself as "Gerard". "Sara. And this is Billie."

Billie's POV
I shake his hand. "Nice to meet you guys. Are you interested on going on a tour tomorrow?"  "Yes, if you wouldn't mind showing us around" Sara replies. Showing us around? She's not going to be honest with this guy what the fuck. "Oh, it would be no problem."

Gerard's POV
"Great" she says with a smile. I give her my number and tell her and her...boyfriend (I guess) that I'm staying at the hotel down the road. "We are too." Billie says. "Oh, what a coincidence. Well, I could meet you guys in the lobby and then we could grab something to eat and head for the forest." They both nod. "Sounds great, thank you." Sara says grabbing her purse. She and Billie get up and head back to the hotel leaving me behind. They seemed really nice and I was a fan of Billie's so it was pretty cool that id be leading him through the forest tomorrow...I wonder why they want to go.
