One Shot #6: Natsu x Lucy

Valentines Day

Lucy was sitting on the grass, reading a book with her reading glasses on. 

''Hey Luce!'' She turned to her right and saw Natsu walking towards her. 'Natsu cant see me like this!!!' She quickly took off her glasses, hid them behind her back and closed the book. As he got closer, she started to get jittery.

He sat down next to her and started to stare off into the sky. Natsu then noticed how Lucy was tapping her finger up and down on her thigh, indicating that she was nervous. He got up and sat upright and asked her what was wrong.

''Oh nothing... '' Lucy looked behind her back to see if her glasses were in sight of Natsu. Natsu cocked his head to the right and saw the glasses immediately. He bent over to try to get a better look at them and ended up falling on top of Lucy.

Lucy entire face was as red as Erzas hair and Natsu blushed slightly at the sight. 'God Lucy looks so cute right now.'  They both stood still as they looked at each other. 

Lucy looked to the right of her, no glasses. To the left, her glasses just a few inches away. Natsu caught up to what she was thinking and before she knew it, Natsu had her glasses in his hands. 'Damn it...' He quickly examined them in front of Lucy and put them on to test them out. She tried to avoid eye contact but couldn't help but stare at him.

'How come he looks so sexy in my glasses yet I dont!' Lucy thought to herself.

''Can I put your glasses on your face?'' Natsu asked. Well that was straightforward.

''No...''

''Please?'' Natsu pouted.

''Ok...'' Natsu smiled and carefully put them on Lucy's face. His eyes widened when he got the final look of her.

''I know, I look hideous in these glasses. Dont judge me..'' Natsu couldn't believe what she was saying, she looked so pretty in those glasses!

''What are you even talking about Luce, you look extremely attractive with those glasses on!!'' He said defensively. Lucy slightly blushed at his comment.

Natsu got off of Lucy and criss crossed his legs when he sat up.  

''Why do you never where them in front of anybody?'' Natsu asked. Lucy hesitated but began to answer.

''Im just really insecure when it comes to my glasses and I keep thinking no boy will ever love me if I ever wear them out in public.'' She started to tear up and it broke his heart at the sight of her crying.

Natsu couldn't help it anymore, he leaned over and gently kissed Lucy. Lucy couldn't believe it at first but closed her eyes as the seconds went by. They both let go of their kiss.

''Dont let your insecurities control you to the point where it misleads you into seeing a false perspective of yourself.'' Lucy looked at him in shock. That was positively the most smartest thing Natsu has ever said.

''Well I better be going.''

Natsu got up and started to walk away, he turned around to look at Lucy. Lucy had put her glasses back on and continued reading her book.

''Hey Luce.''

''Yeah?'' She said looking up at him.

''Happy Valentines Day.'' Natsu said, winking at her.

Lucy blushed a little before saying, ''You too Natsu.''
