09. Be Careful

A/N : hey guys A-chan again here. I'm writting the next chapter. So mama told me about the plot she wanted,and i hope this is what she wants. Idk about what she really wanted but i'll try my best.

Ever since you see Hide it's been good. You often hang out with him at :Re when you don't have any work. It's nice to have him around even if he's a ghoul now.

He knows about your job at the CCG. But he didn't know about you as the underdog. Right now you were having some coffee with the blonde.

"Hey,you heard the news?" He asked.

"What news?" You look back a him

"Another base of the ghouls were wiped out again last night. They said it wasn't the CCG. "

"R-really?" You stuttered slightly.

"Nee,Y/N. If it wasn't the CCG...Then who would it be? You have any ideas?" He asked again.

"Not sure..." you laughed nervously.

Truth to be told, it was you and the team again. Since no one must know you can't tell anyone about it. You've been to :Re more often lately,and sometimes with F/N,Ito and Io. The guys get along with Hide and they tell jokes and stuff.

"Oh,i have to go. I had some work to do today." You stood up and pack your things.

"Good luck." Hide said.

You waved and said goodbye to everyone before walking out the cafe. You quickly meet up with the team,ready to strike again. All the underdog work and secrets have been a routine for you,going out on a mission so suddenly and secretively,and all that. You've gotten used to it.

"Let's go." F/N said.

"Another day,another work." Ito sighed.

"At least F/N is driving now. I won't get sick." Io laughed.

"Ha-ha,very funny." You said sarcasticaly.

You just drive to the location,get off,blast the door and bam- the place is done for. Your daily life. Although sometimes you used your ghoul powers to get the job done. But you make sure no one sees it.

But this time,you were out of luck

The CCG were planning to hit another place with the squads together again. You were told to participate with the others. Not disguise needed,so you don't have to look for another dress again.

As soon as you got there you all take your places. And wait for the signal to bust in. As soon as your comrade gave the signal all of you barge through the door and the fight started. It went smooth and well,you were doing it well. But as soon as someone throws away your qinque,that's where it went wrong.

You left your daggers at the office,thinking you don't need it. You had no choice but to use your ghoul powers. You led the bunch of ghouls to a place somewhre far away from the others,and you strike with your kagune

But to your dismay,someone heard a faint sound of fighting. One of your friends heard it and he decided to look who it was.

You looked at him in shock. Luckily you wore your mask. You ran away as fast as posible to escape him.

"Hey,stop right there!!" You heard his voice.

You ignored him and continued to run as far as you could. And he continued to chase you. You both get out of the building and into a dark alley. You both were the only one outside. Everyone else was inside there still fighting.

"Stop right there!" He panted,exhausted from the running a little bit.

You don't want to hurt him,but you can't let him know your identity. So you grab his qinque and throw it away. When you did,he was surprised and that was your chance. You quickly jumped onto the roof and ran away as far as you can. After loosing him you take off your mask and get inside the building from the back door. Ito was nearby holding your qinque.

"Here." He gave it to you.

"Thanks,let's get moving." You replied.

The rest of the mission was just fine. You were relieved that no one notices what happen back then. You got in the car and F/N drive back to the office.

"You kind of mess up didn't you?" F/N started

"Yeah,i didn't thought no one would take notice." You sighed.

"It's fine. They don't know,yet." She said.

"But you have to be careful from now on. You know the worst scenario is..." she glance over to you.

"I know,i know."

"If they started to look for you,then it's a problem. But for now let's just hope it doesn't happen." She sighed.

You got back to the building,and worked on some report and things before packing and went home. The others left you behind saying they'll wait at the apartment. You were still working on some papers. Haise left for another mission the same night.

"I'll be on a mission. Take care." Those were his words before he left.

While you were typing,as you thought of it. You've made some progress in your relationship with him. Not much but you thought it was good enough for now. Keep this up and you might get your relationship back,someday.

But thinking again about the accident today. What if he knows. You wore your mask so it's not a problem. But if they looked for your ghoul identity. That would be the problem.

And the worsy thing is...

You shook of your negative thoughts,and continued to type.

No,it's going to be fine. It's useless to think about it when it doesn't happen,yet

You took a deep breath. Hopefully nothing bad happen. If something does then you have choice but to deal with it.
