10. Hunting Down the Red Devil

Thoughts keep running through your mind as you work. The meeting earlier just so tiring. They talked about looking for the red devil,who was no other than you. But no one know about you being that ghoul they were looking. Not even Arima. Well,he knows you're a half-ghoul but other than that he does not know about your alias and shit

You messed up a bit a few days ago. Making the CCG started to look for you again after three years of them giving up on you. Back then you didn't come out much so they just left you. But now that someone sees you,well you have to hide better. And that puts you on a difficult position.

And worse,you were one of the people left in charge of looking for the ghoul. F/N,Ito and Io as well. Great. Just great. You sighed heavily while you scan through your own files.

"You're really out of luck,huh?" F/N started.

"But it's a bit easier since they won't suspect you." Io added.

"Let's just hope they didn't find out." Ito replied.

You sighed,and continued to read things about you that were written down on the files. You keep thinking about lots of things. What if they find out,and some sort. You were already one of the people given the task to hunt the red devil,which is no other than you. Well,that was bad. But if you think that's really bad there's something worse.

Haise was one of the people who was in the job. He was the one who lead,to make it worse. Great,things are at the worst right now.

You sighed deeply as you work. Well you pretended to. Haise was on the other side,eyes locked on the screen,hands were typing on the keyboard.

"Y/N, have you mafe any progress on the location?" He asked.

"...I-i'm still looking for it. It's a bit difficult since she hasn't appear lately." You built up walls of lie. You keep telling him any random location so that he wouldn't suspect.

You keep running away,hiding the truth behind you. You can't let anyone know about your identity,you can't let them know.

And here you are working late,with Haise and some other workers in other rooms. The others already left about an hour ago. Some are on patrols and some other just went home. You were with Haise and two other workers. But they left just a moment ago and here you are alone with him.

(Me : *fangirls*)

You were kind of tired at the moment,and a bit sleepy to be honest, but you have to work. You were working on some of the files when he asked

"Y/N i'm going to get some coffee. Would you like some?" He said.

"Y-yeah...sure..." you replied and slightly stuttered.

"I'll be back soon." And with that the door closed.

You were there,not really doing anything. And he didn't return for quite a while. You were getting quite tired. Your eyes were a bit heavy and before you know it,you fell asleep.
