Alright! I just started this! It may be crap but I had to get my idea out here. Please let me know how you like this! :)
Chapter 1: Meeting Him.
'Today is the day. I'm FINALLY getting to do my first interview.' I thought as I sat up in bed. I glanced over to the clock and found it was 7:30 a.m..I had to be in the office in an hour and a half. That gave me just enough time to get showered and ready for work. I was supposed to be interviewing some movie star. I wasn't told who it was and I wouldn't find out until I got to work.
I quickly got up and made my way to my dresser. I pulled out a clean bra and pair of matching underwear. I then waltzed to the closet. I couldn't get over the fact that my real career was starting today. Don't get me wrong, I love getting to write, but interviewing celebrities and meeting them and knowing them, it couldn't get better. I opened the closet and looked through all of my clothes. After debating for a while whether to go with a casual or professional look, I chose to go somewhere in the middle with nice jeans and a yellow and blue cabo tank with a white tank underneath. I laid the clothes neatly on my bed and hopped off to the shower. I quickly washed my hair and body and shaved my legs and underarms.
I got out and wrapped the towel around my body. I walked back to my bed and put on my clothes. I then walked over to my desk, where my makeup and hair dryer were stationed at. I pulled my ipod dock from one of the drawers and turned on my favorite artist, Cher Lloyd. I flipped my hair over and started drying it with the hair dryer. It didn't take long to get my hair dry and in its natural, loose curls. I carefully brushed it out and decided to just leave it down. I sat down at the desk chair and put on some brown shimmery eye shadow and lightly lined my eyes, then I carefully coated my eyelashes in a single layer of mascara.
I looked back over to the clock and saw that I had 40 minutes until I had to be at work, which have me 25 minutes until I had to leave home. The drive to work was about 15 minutes long. I was singing to the songs blaring from my speakers. I ran down stairs and into the kitchen and made myself a bowl of apple and Cinnamon oatmeal and a latte . I probably didn't need the caffeine, given how hyper I already was from the excitement, but I love my lattes. Once I finished my breakfast, I went back upstairs to get my purse and cell phone from my bedroom. As I walked back downstairs, I turned out lights and grabbed my car keys from the hook on the kitchen wall. I turned as I was about to walk out the door. Soon, I would be able to afford a nicer flat. The flat I stared back at looked and felt lonely and cold. I looked away and went out to my old car. I drove the short 15 minutes to the office and pulled into my usual parking space. I quickly gathered my purse and turned off the car. I rushed into the building, eager to find out who I would be interviewing. The first thing I did was go to the back and clock in. I then put my belongings in my small office and speed walked to my editor's large corner office. I rapped on the door a couple of times and slowly walked in.
" Ah, Ms.Mailor. I suppose you're here to get your information.. Yes, here it is." He said kindly as he pulled a Manila folder from a stack on his desk. " You will find all you need to know in this folder. You need to be on the third floor in precisely 10 minutes to prepare yourself."
" Thank you so much, sir. You have no idea how much this opportunity means to me! " I said, grinning widely.
" Yes, dear. You're quite welcome. Just don't let me down, now. You'd better hurry up and get up there Ms. Mailor. You don't want to be late." He warned with a warm smile. I was his rising star in the building. He put a lot of faith in me for loads of assignments; I never failed him.
" Yes, sir!" I said smiling even more. I quickly turned and half walked/half ran to the elevator. Once I got in, I looked at the cover of the folder to see which room I was going to be in. " Room 5.." I murmured to myself. I managed to calm myself down and be cool and collected as I walked down the third floor corridor. I came to room 5 and opened the door. I propped it open with the door stopper. I set my folder down on the table and walked over to the window and opened to curtains, letting the bright, morning sun shine through the room. There wasn't much in the small room, just an old meeting table and nice swivel chairs. There was a television set on the long end of the room.
