The red dress is her new outfit choice :)

The summer had gone by quickly and I was finally moving back into the dorms of Kadic. I walked into my room and saw I was sharing with Aelita. She turned and looked at me as I walked in.

"Hi, are you my new roommate?" I nodded lightly.

"My names Athena, you must be Aelita, Jeremy's girlfriend." She nodded and I set my stuff down on my bed. I looked at her desk to see the picture of all of us from last semester. We had all looked so happy, but all I could think about was their looks of rejection from those last couple of days.

"Is something wrong?" She asked as she took in my facial expression.

"Oh no I was just wondering who the girl with white hair was. I don't remember seeing her from last semester." Aelita frowned and looked away.

"Her name is Dawn, she didn't come back for school this semester, she wanted to travel the world instead." She put the picture frame face down and walked towards the door. "I'll see you later." She muttered, walking out the door.

I unpacked quickly and headed outside. I could see everyone mingling around and I caught Yumi's eye from across the plaza.

She nodded once and went back to talking to Ulrich and Odd.

If only things could have been different...

My next class everyone aside from Yumi was in it again like last semester. I sat down next to a random girl who I think was named Emily. When Ms.Hertz walked in she almost did a double take when she saw me. I could tell she thought something was up.

"Welcome back class, I hope you all had a wonderful summer. I'd like to take today for us to introduce another new student Miss Summers." I rose from my seat.

"My name is Athena Summers  it's nice to meet you all." I said smiling gently. I turned my head as something fell to the ground. Odd was staring at me in disbelief.

"Odd, is there something you'd like to share with the rest of the class?" Ms. Hertz said annoyed.

"Um no ma'am." I sat back down and listened to ms.Hertz drone on and on about molecules until finally the bell rang signalling I was free from this torturous class. I gathered my belongings and headed outside into the blinding sunlight.

"Hey!" I turned around when I saw Odd rushing after me.

"Yes?" I asked politely.

"Do you by any chance know a girl named Dawn Nova?" I looked at him confused.

"You mean that white haired girl that was in my roommate's picture frame? No I had never even heard of her until Aelita had said who she was. Now if you'll excuse me I have to get to my gym class." I turned to walk away.

"You know more than you're letting on. Who are you?" I looked back at him angrily.

"You know I don't appreciate the accusations. You really need to learn some manners. My name is Athena, I really don't appreciate your tone of voice and I hope you can learn how to talk to a girl this year, Odd." I walked away and into the athletic building.

I couldn't believe the nerve he had to accuse me of such things, granted I was who he thought I knew about, but still. Did me being gone really make him that much of a jerk. I changed into my gym clothes and headed into class. Jim was once again showing everyone how to make a fool out of ourselves and I giggled along as someone sat down next to me.

"Hey Athena was it?" I turned my head to see Ulrich sitting there.

"Hi." I said with a smile.

"I saw what happened between you and Odd outside I'm really sorry for the way he acted, he hasn't really been himself lately." I frowned a little and looked away.

"Its quite alright, I really just didn't appreciate the accusations. But I understand that that's who Odd is, you don't have to apologize on his behalf."

"Summers." I rose and headed over to the gymnastics equipment. He wanted me to attempt to do the vault, which was too easy. I started running towards the vault, jumped and landed perfectly on top of it and then jumped off, putting my arms up.

He looked at me amazed with everyone else.

"Good work, Summers." I smiled lightly.

"Thanks Jim." I sat back down next to Ulrich.

"I've only ever seen Odd do that, how on earth did you manage to pull that off?" He asked.

"I was always good at gymnastics, I did it when I was younger." I stated quickly and that's when the bell rang. I jumped up and headed to the girl's locker room. Once I had changed and headed out I saw Ulrich standing by the door to the gym waiting for me I would assume. "Waiting for someone?" I asked and he looked up at me.

"I have to ask, but by any chance are you Dawn? I know when someone lies and I could see it when you were talking about gymnastics. Dawn, if it really is you I'm sorry how we all treated you." I looked down and away from Ulrich.

"I swear if one more person from your group brings up that Dawn girl I'm going to the principal, this is ridiculous. I've had enough of the games from all of you." I walked past him and out the door. The sun was starting to set, so I headed to the dining hall to eat.

I walked inside to see Yumi sitting away from the others.

So she must have kicked them out of her life when I disappeared. She signaled for me to come over with my food. I walked over and sat down across from her.

"So why aren't you sitting with them?" I asked.

"I saw that scene Odd made earlier and I swear if he had been any louder the whole school would have heard him." I sighed.

"Ulrich was the same way in gym class, he almost caught on, but thankfully I think I scared him about going to the principal if they continued to accuse me of things that were impossible." I said quietly and began to eat slowly.

"You know sooner or later there might be a Xana attack." She said and I knew it was true. "What are you going to do if Xana starts coming after you? They'll figure it out and you can't go on to Lyoko without them seeing your Lyoko form." I chuckled.

"Well for all they know I'll be far away some place they could never hope to reach. So in the end, going on to Lyoko isn't a problem, but what you said is." I frowned and dropped my fork as a massive headache appeared behind my left eye. I reached my hand up and groaned as the pain intensified.

"Athena, what's wrong?" Yumi asked concerned.

"I have a massive headache, it came out of nowhere." I got up and started heading for the door.

"Athena is everything alright?" I turned to see Aelita and the others looking at me concerned.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Just a headache that's all. I'll see you later in the dorm." I walked outside and felt the headache subsiding.

It must be, because I haven't fixed how the core reacts with the outside world. I guess I'll have to go on to Lyoko to figure this all out.

I rushed back to the dorm and once I was inside the room I pulled out my necklace from underneath the dress from around my neck. I touched it and felt myself getting virtualized on to Lyoko.

Here goes nothing...
