I ended up texting Khira and asking her to pick me up and take me to work. I hated to trouble her, but she kept telling me it wasn't at all a problem, which I greatly appreciated.
She was going to have to wait for me, or go somewhere shortly and come back to pick me up. She didn't have anywhere to go, and she couldn't get drunk because she had to drive, so it was going to be extremely boring for her.
Tomorrow I had set a plan to get her to drive me to the shops to get my car key and button remade. The amount of days I have before the car is towed is more than enough. It's also the University parking lot, so that makes it a lot easier for me.
My phone beeped on the table, moving slightly with the vibration. It was Khira telling me that she was just outside. I stood to my feet, taking my phone in my hand and rushing down to the bottom floor of the building.
I quickly hopped in the passenger seat, shutting the door behind me and rubbing my hands together, creating heat for warmth. She said nothing, only giving me a small smile before stepping on the pedal with force, making the car jolt forward and speed off into the streets.
We made small talk in the car as she drove, asking how my day was and things like that. I refused to tell her about the fact that I didn't wake up in my own bed and also didn't wake up in my own clothing. I could never tell her about Harry.
"What did you do?" She asked out of curiosity, keeping her stare on the road.
"Um, nothing much," I spoke quietly. "I just relaxed. What about you?"
"Same. Watched some movies, dicked around by myself, the usual." She laughed, reminiscing something I was unaware of. I nodded knowingly with a smile, briefly thinking over the fun things we've done.
The rest of the drive was a comfortable silence until we had to get out.
"Can I come in?" She giddily spoke.
"Why do you seem to excited?" I laughed lightly at her.
"I feel like a VIP or some shit." She was almost bouncing in her seat. I furrowed my brows with a confused grin, and then nodded gently.
I opened the door and stepped out of the car, her getting out the other side. I slung my bag over my shoulder and shut the door to the car, glancing at Khira on the opposite side.
I began trudging across the road and toward the gravel at the back entrance. She followed me as I heard her footsteps from behind.
I pushed the large black door open, the door that blended into the wall. I held it open for Khira as she stepped in after me.
"Ta-da," I threw my hands out in front of me dramatically. She laughed and looked around, scanning the mirrors that were set in rows. This was the first time she had actually come to work with me. She hadn't met any of my co-workers.
I saw Clover and Leilani come around from behind the curtain that led outside into the club, giggling together but stopping with a smile when they caught sight of Khira and I.
"And who's this?" Leilani took it upon herself to ask politely.
I opened my mouth to speak, but I was cut off by Khira's voice.
