I was shocked. "D-d-d-Danny. I-It would be an honor to be your girlfriend." My excitement could no longer be tamed. But then I asked,"Why me, Danny?"

His facial expression seemed both happy and confused,"You are now my girlfriend, because you are perfect in my eyes. Wait here." He left to get something. When he arrived, Danny gave me a balloon with the number 1 written on it.

Number "1"? What is this for?

"Dan-Danny? Why is there a number 1 on the balloon?"

Danny smiled at me, again,"Since you said yes, today is our first day as a couple, hence the number one." The balloon was a simple red heart ballon with writing on it. Most likely with a Sharpie. It was pretty sweet of him, but he might waste his money on balloons...

"Aww, Danny... I love the concept!" Hugging seemed to be another way of communication for us.

We spent the entire day at the park. He even bought be ice cream, well, we shared one. I never new

Danny was so sweet, I mean, sweeter than before. I receive a text from my mom:

Mom: Where are you?

I reply: Don't worry, Mom. With Danny.

The thing was, she didn't know about the period of time when I "hated" Danny. She always thought of him as a son.

Mom: Okay, well you two have a reasonable amount of fun!

She is always trying to embarass me, whenever. Like I would, never mind. I never even thought of...

After a nice evening picnic, he walked me home. Danny grinned,"Well, see you tomorrow. How about a movie?" Only Danny would be the one to qualify as to being romantic at the movies.

I looked up at him, his hand on my shoulder, stroking my hair, this was the perfect kiss moment, but both of us knew my mother has rules. Rule number three clearly states that I can't kiss a guy unless we've dated for at least a week. Which meant I haven't kissed anyone. "A movie would be nice. Pick me up around noon?"

He put his hands in his pockets,"Yeah, umm, sure. Noon it is."
