The rest of the school week passed in a blur. Nate and me had no contact, at all. He always seemed to be surrounded by girls, so, it was kind of impossible for him to even realise I exist. After all compared to blonde headed, heavily made up girls, with their shorts and skirts so high [I always had the urge to pull them down] and fluffed up hair, I was just a loser. Who happened to be his neighbour.

So there I was sitting comfortably in the living room, surfing through the Internet, when my mother decides to come home early from office. "RRRRINGGGGG."

Shit.

I quickly grabbed the chips packets, meegoreng plate, chocolate biscuits and the cake box and threw them on the kitchen counter. Shutting my Laptop and putting it in my bag I went over to open the door. My mother may seem like a nice person- however this is only in her good mood- other times she can get so scary that I have nearly peed my pants.[ Whoops.]

I quickly rushed to the door, screaming " I'm coming! I'm coming!" as the bell continued to ring. Finally I was able to unlock the door. "Hello, Airie!" she trilled walking in. She had put on her usual office wear- a long skirt, black cardigan, scarf and some random top. "Hi mum. How come your home so early?" I asked suspiciously. Don't get me wrong, I love my mum! But I still deserve some free time after school right, without parent supervision? " Well Airie! I just came home early to go through the travel brochures for your trip with the Blakes!" Wait WHAT?

"W-what mum? What trip?!" I exclaimed. She smiled- yes, she was in a good mood!

"Oh right... the trip I forgot to mention. On Sunday early morning you will be going with the Blakes for a two week trip to New York." Oh. My. God. I internally started shrieking like a pathetic girl. Offcourse then I remembered the Blakes meant Nate would be coming along too. Fudge.

"Okay! Thankyouuuuu!!!!!!! Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh! Yes! You are awesome! Thanks for letting me go!" Mum smiled as I started to jump on the spot.

"Of course but you have to start packing, right now. I mean it." she said.

"Wait mum... why are the Blakes agreeing to take me?"

"Well I had told them about how you always dreamed of living in New York and coincidentally they happened to be going this week!" she exclaimed.

"Okay! Thanks mum! I'll go pack now!" wow the Blakes were nice people, except for Nate*cough* idiot.

I quickly packed my bag with all my necessities. Three long skirts, three shorts, 7 tops, undergarments, toiletries, camera, mobile, laptop, camera charger, mobile charger, laptop charger and much more items. What can I say? I am after all a girl.

After zipping up my two bulging bags I went downstairs and hugged my mum. " Thankyou again!" I smiled cheerily. " That’s okay Airie fairy! You’re leaving tomorrow-early morning. Remember. I think Maria said Five'o clock in the morning." I gaped at her. Five’o clock!!Oh well. It was all worth it for the trip.

After finishing my two hours of everyday study I quickly jumped on to my bed. I wonder where we're going to be living? I wonder if I’ll actually get to talk to Nate? I suddenly remembered. Didn't Nate have a brother or sister? When they first moved in I was informed about how there were two guys and a girl. Hmm... I'll just have to wait and see. Great... mum's calling me for dinner.

The next morning I woke up to the sound of my ringing alarm clock. It was four in the morning! I quickly showered and decided to go for breakfast. The whole house was empty to the point of pin drop silence. Feeling slightly creeped out, I crept down stairs and had a large breakfast of egg, milk and two slices of bread. Can't let my stomach grumble on the way...
