chapter 12

Brett and I woke up to the alarm. We jumped up. We grabbed our emt jackets running to the ambo jumping in. We jumped in. She started the ambo and drove to the car crash scene.

When we got there Casey waved us over. Brett and I ran over. There was a child.

" one of you need to get in there put a c colar on " Casey said. Brett nodded at me. I nodded. I put on Casey's jacket. I climbed in being careful of my stomach Severide was right there keeping his hand on my stomach till I was fully in. The kid was crying.

" hey shh can you look at me " I said to him. He looked at me. I smiled and nodded.

" good what hurts " I asked while I put the c colar on him. He was crying hard. Casey and Brett were checking his parents pulse. They shook there heads.

" my tummy. My leg. My arm. My foot " he cried. I nodded. I heard Boden yell.

" Brett Casey move " he yelled. They jumped away as a car hit the car. I laid myself over the kid fast before the car hit us. I heard Casey on the phone with Intelligence. I soon heard the sirins. They car was on it roof I heard screaming. Arm wad bleeding. The kid was screaming. I kneeled infront if him. Uncliping the set belt not letting him fall. I got out holding him in my arms. I was dizzy. Everyone ran over. Brett took him out of my arms. There was glass in my arm. I grabbed it pulling it out. I took Casey's jacket off. I gave it to him before running over to the ambo. I grabbed achoal. I grabbed stitching stuff taking my shirt off. I cleaned my cut. I stitched it up before putting my shirt back on. Severide came over.

" are you okay is the baby okay. " she asked I nodded. I turned on the altursound thing. I left my shirt up. I put jell on my stomach. Brett was working in the kid. I grabbed my camera rubbing the jell in before pushing a little. You could hear the heartbeat and see the baby moving. I nodded shutting it off whipping the jell away.

" yeah yeah were okay " I said. Boden came over. Severide jumped out after kissing my head. I saw Voight putting the guy in the car. I nodded.

" get him to med " Boden said. I nodded. Brett jumped out. O put gloves on. He stopped crying. He looked at me. I lefted his shirt up. I pushed a little. Blodded. Internal bleeding. Must have just started.

" is mama and daddy okay " he asked. I frowned and looked at him.

" no hunny they didn't make it. They became a star. They will always be with you " I said to him. He nodded. He grabbed my hand holding it. I smiled at him pushing hair out of his face.

" is there a baby in your tummy " he asked. I nodded giggling. He is so cute.

" yes there is. How old are you " I asked him. He smiled. He held up 5 fingers. Same age as Carter.

" 5 " he said giggling. Smiled. His heart started to drop. His stomach got more blodded.I banged on the window.

" pull over know " I screamed she pulled over before jumping out and opening the door. I grabbed stuff to do surgery.

" what are you doing g you can't open him " she said. I shook my head. I cut him open. I felt around. He put a mask on him. I found it and clamped it. I stitched it. I closed him up before starting to stitch him. My hands were all blood. So we're my arms.

" I got it call med tell them we opened him and stopped the bleeding. " I said. She nodded getting out jumping into the driver's seat. She drove fast. I washed my hands and arms. I dried them before getting him ready to be taken out. His heart was back to normal. We got there they opened the door. It was wil and Rhodes.

" had internal bleeding. I opened him up and stopped it. Heart rate normal. Broken leg. Possible broken wrist and arm. " I said. They nodded. Will stayed behind. He put his hands on my shoulders.

" good job sis. He wouldn't be alive if it wasn't for you " he said. I nodded. He kissed my head and walked off. Brett and I filled the paper work. We got in and drove back to 51.

When we got there I put my jacket on. I changed back into my shirts and shirt with sandals. I walked out. Everyone looked at me.

" why happened in the ambo " Casey asked standing with his hands on his hips. I sighed looking at everyone. Brett was standing next to me.

" the boy had internal bleeding. It got bad he he crashed. I got him propared and opened him up when we pulled over. I stopped it and stitched him that's all. Then we brought him to med. " I said. Gabby jaw dropped. I put my hand in my black clombia jacket pockets.

" I thought you weren't supposed to do that " she said. I nodded. Severide walked behind me kissing my head. Putting his arms in the holes. His hands rested on my stomach.

" your not. Goddwin was there when we brought him in. She said that was a good choice because we would have lost hom if we waited longer. She nodded. Herman kissed my head. Boden pulled me into a hug. I wrapped my arms around him. He kissed my head.

" good job " he said I nodded. Severide got changed. We went and got Monkey from Jay and we went home. We told monkey he was gonna be a big brother. He loved it. We ate dinner and got ready for bed. I put monkey down and Severide and I cuddled tell we fell asleep.
