What Korra and Mako had seen was not expected.

Right before them were 4 steel doors. Each with the same red lotus symbol.

Holding his left arm Mako looked at each of the doors in awe. Just the thought of how long this had taken to build and create. It had to have been here for centuries. Right under Republic City's nose.

"This almost looks like the catacombs of-"

"Firelord Ozai" Korra finished. "During the Solar Eclipse and the Raid of the kingdoms."

Makos face changed from awe "So what? Is Zaheer now a follower of Ozai?"
Korra began to walk up to a door as Mako prattled.

'Each door' she pondered, 'Each element.'

Korra eyed the handle. "There's no turning back now" as she gripped it.

"Wait!" Mako said holding her arm. "How do you know Zaheer isn't behind that door?"

She looked right into his orange amber eyes, took his hand and calmly said "I don't, but whether he is there or not this is what we came here for. This is what we have to do."

Mako was stuck in her eyes, her strength contained in such a calm manner reminded him of Kuvira. So much that he began to lean in to kiss her. She had to react.

Gripping his shoulders sternly, she pushed him back gently. "Mako I can't, we, us, it's, it's in the past. Remember you have Kuvira. I have Asami."

"I-I'm sorry. Look I didn't mean to you just reminded me of Kuvira and I-I guess I just miss her."

"I know, I miss my girl too. But whatever happens we've got each other right now, friends to the end."

Mako smiled "Friends to the end."

Korra then randomly selected the 3rd door. She pushed the handle with sweaty palms and pushed open to reveal a small pond.

The two slowly walked in. A large dimly
lit room. A small pond in the middle with a dark path ahead but lights near the entrance.

The door shut tight and sealed. Mako ran to open it back up but it was completely sealed. "Korra it's sealed!"

She earthbended a giant spike to pierce it to only have it shatter. "Oh no"

"I see you idiots, found out that our titanium doors really hold up to their name. Am I right?"

The Duo turned and immediately went into defense mode. Mako firebent in his hands, "Who goes there?"

Out of the darkness came a small woman. Oddly she had no arms. How could she possibly protect herself?!

"Names Ming Hua, and I guess I'm the lucky one who gets to see you first. I'm glad you picked my door."

Korra spoke up, "Door? What do you mean? Are there other members in the other doors?"

"Perhaps. But that's non of my business."

Mako came forth "YOU WILL TELL US!" Fire bending a ball at her. She swiftly dodged and fell into the pond. Her body disappeared under.
The two agents stepped back fearing the worst.

Ominously her body arose out the water. She, she had controlled the water. Landing on the ground. She extended her arms.

"Why yes, I am well aware I have no arms. No shit. Accidents happen, when you live on the streets, you understand. But when Zaheer takes you in, your understanding becomes greater."

Mako stepped forward nervous but head strong "Wait, I grew up on the streets, I know what it's like! My parents were mugged and killed. We can become allies."
