Goku's POV
(This takes place after buu saga and in this chi chi passed away 2 years ago. In this story Gohan trains)
I know that me and Vegeta have never really seen eye to eye. But I had honestly felt like he was my friend. I had known him for many years now, and recently we had spent more time together than usual since chi chi died. I was upset when I found out, devastated but it wasn't the intimacy that I missed. To be perfectly honest, Gohan and Goten were the only times we were intimate, because she was always complaining about me hurting her. We weren't mates, or life long partners it was just convenience. But that doesn't mean that I didn't love her in a friendly way, and a motherly way since she was always there for our sons.
I was currently on my way to capsule corp, to visit Vegeta. After a few moments of flying, I finally reached it. Without hesitation I knocked on the door, getting slightly impatient because of the need to train and become stronger. Finally Bulma answered the door.
"Hey Goku! What brings you here?" She asked, her tone full of courtesy.
At this, Vegeta let out a sigh and barged past her, looking me in the eyes.
"Oh hey Vegeta I was looking for you, are you ready to train?" I asked him, studying his features for a reply. He motioned for me to go outside, so I followed.
We went somewhere deep into the forest, finally coming to a halt. He flew upwards, so I followed him, seeing what he thought was so intriguing.
"Kakarot be quiet! And lower your ki you clumsy idiot" He scolded.
I did as I was told, I wasn't scared of Vegeta I was just curious as to who or what he was spying on.
"Here he comes" He whispered, his tone laced in sarcasm.
I looked further ahead until I finally spotted it, Yamcha walking into capsule corp, and Bulma slapping his butt playfully, clearly something going on between the two of them behind Vegeta's back.
"Vegeta! He's with your wife?" I questioned, like he was crazy for watching it and not doing anything about it. He just continued watching intently, not bothering to glance my way, or contributing to the conversation at all until he finally spoke up, his voice gruff and deep.
"This has been going on for 4 months now, the exact same routine Kakarot. I should have known not to marry one of these pathetic earthlings, they do not share the same customs as us Saiyans do, or have instincts, we weren't made for them. Not as I regret Trunks because I don't but I'm only glad I didn't get feelings for this woman. I married her simply because I wanted to train the boy and have him become stronger and hopefully ascend to a level higher than super saiyan. I want to break up with her Kakarot believe me. I haven't even marked her so it's not like I'm bound to her for life. I wouldn't miss her at all. But I don't have anywhere to stay so I stick around simply out of convenience." He explained, making me nod finally understanding what was going on.
"I'm sorry geta, you deserve better. I had no idea it was like that. You can always stay at my place. Goten is sometimes there but he's mostly with Gohan, Dende or trunks. It helps since his mum isn't here anymore to take his mind off it as much as possible" I offered, wanting to do anything I could to help him.
He scoffed.
"I don't need or want your sympathy Kakarot. I am a prince, I do not need to be baffled by these petty emotions that you have." He replied with a snigger.
"However I will take you up on the offer of somewhere to stay, that would help. I'd still get to train that way too." He added.
Started off quite slow but the other chapters will be longer, and this was just kind of the opening chapter, so they will not get feelings yet. Will be uploading tomorrow! Thanks for reading❤️
