Hey Everyone,
Thanks for your patience and kindly waiting for me to update. I had a wonderful birthday where I literally showered myself in red wine and then had one of those night when you tell everyone how much you loved them and think that they were wonderful...haha I then had to move house in a woeful state and knew full well how Feyre felt when she woke up after too much Faerie wine under the mountain!! oh dear!
I hope this chapter was worth the wait! Sorry I am too sleepy to edit.
Also sorry to end it so evilly but I will update again in a few days.
Till next time,
Spinlight xo

As with all things Fae there was a spectacular ball the night before the challenge. Tomorrow everything may change and end, yet it was not in our careless nature to worry and fret. Why bother when we could make the most of every last minute before the future could impose its unwanted twists and turns upon us.
There was a wildness to the music and an untamed vitality in the night air. More so than usual. Wine by the gallon was tossed down gleeful throats. Bare footed and bare breasted maidens danced wildly under the night sky. Couples were reckless in their trysts amongst the shadows of the rose garden courtyard. The stars shone brightly in defiance and an unusual amount of stars were falling through the sky. All around me Fae of all courts were enjoying the festivities as though for a time court and kingdom had been dissolved and all that was left was the bond of the magic that had called us all forth at the pouring.
I smiled. She was everywhere. All around me I could feel the infinite changes caused by Feyre's short time amongst us which now cascaded out into irreversible alteration. We had smugly thought ourselves gods as we transformed her broken mortal shell into a glorious fae body. Now she in turn altered the very essence of Prythian. All this she had done with no pre-conception or intent in mind. Such a dangerous, lovely creature. My mate.
My lips curved up into a fully fledged smile as I beheld her. My breath hitched in my throat and my heart hammered in my chest as I stood mesmerised my her presence.
She was apart from it all. Twirling on the lawn and drinking in the stars. No wine touched her lips and no shoes graced her feet. She wore a lovely simple green gown that came only to mid thigh and spun out as she twirled. She looked innocent, carefree and the epitome of life. There was almost a child-like wonder in her eyes as she beheld the wood nymph and the water sprite that had come to dance amongst us. Looking at her thus it was hard to believe that before me stood the Queen of Prythian. The champion. The one who would determine all of our fates...again.
As stealthily as the night I swept in on her until she stood just before me, unsuspecting. Softly but quickly one hand came up over her eyes and the other wrapped around her waist as I hugged her from behind and spun us both around until her feet lifted off the grass and spun out amongst the graceful folds of green that were billowing in the night air. She squealed with delight and then laughed as I continued to twirl us, not caring for a moment about the curious eyes that stared on in shock.
Mine.
Yours.
Always yours.
Her instant confirmation warmed my heart and filled me with a desperate desire to live out my days filled with nothing but her.
I breathed in her heady sent and couldn't resist my head burrowing in the curve of her neck and feasting on her soft tantalising flesh. As my mouth brushed soft kisses up from her collarbone to her neck I felt her shudder against me and gasp at my bold display.
