Chapter 6

I ran out of my boyfriend's doorway to find who had been shot. He was following close behind me. I ran to the woods where it sounded like it came from. When i got there i saw one of the most horrifying things ever. I looked down on the ground to find Braylon shot in the stomach. There was a pair of high heels next to her that might have belonged to the killer. I picked up the shoe. It was white and way too small to be mine or anyone i knew for that matter. I called the cops instantly and told them everything i knew. They called my mom but she didn't answer because she is out of town for the month. I finally got to go home at 1 in the morning and there was a package. It said it was from brooke's mom. I wondered what she wanted. I opened the package to find a gun and the white high heels i saw at the crime scene. I called the cops in the morning and they took it and i could tell they thought it was me by the evidence. I called my mom and told her the whole thing and even she didn't believe me. I grabbed my coat and ran down to Braylon's house to give her family all of the things she left at my house. Brooke's mom was there and she was in Braylon's room- alone and looking through her things. She dropped a bottle of pills and bent over to pick them up. As she squated down she looked over at me and i ran down the stairs as fast as i could. I texted all of the girls. "Something is seriously up with Brooke's mom."
