Gracie- The Halloween Party

Chapter 3

We all arrived at the party in one car. We got out one by one, as if in slow motion. First Calleigh a cat, Makenna a princess, Maddi, a zombie, me a biker, Braylon a doll, and Brooke had to make her final exit, as Lady gaga. We walked into the party and saw that almost everyone was there from school. The party was in a log cabin on the lake but it was cold so there was no swimming. I noticed that one by one, people were leaving but I couldn't hear any cars so i was concerned. "Hey maddi, They never came back from the bathroom." I said in a worried voice. She shook her head because she was completely wasted. After i came out of the bathroom there was only one person left in the house and i could hear screaming from another room. I thought they might have been in danger because it was an ear piercing scream, it sounded like it came from the basement. The person was in a skeleton costume with a kitchen knife in their hand. I starting sweating and tried to run away as he chased me and screamed, "this is payback!" It was a woman's voice, but there was No time to think about what the payback was for or who they were- just self defense. I grabbed a knife and grasped it tightly as i hid behind the counter. I heard them come around as i leaped to my feet and stabbed them in the stomach. I sat there crying as they died. I took off the mask to find out that it was... Brooke. I didn't mean to kill her i was trying to escape and survive. I heard police sirens, they were getting louder and louder. I heard them bust through the doors and they came towards me, crying on the floor next to her body. The cop took my hands and put me up against the wall and handcuffed me. He put me in the back of my cop car and told me i have one call. I called my boyfriend because he wasn't at the party. "Ryan?" I asked in a worried voice, i could hear him breathing. "Hey babe" i explained the whole thing to him and he rushed down to the police station but he wasn't allowed to bail me out because it was murder. So he visited me everyday. The next Saturday, I saw Braylon, Maddi, Makenna, and Calleigh walk in the visitor door.
