Twigs snapped and leaves crushed as I sprinted through the forest. I'm not letting my family get hurt. I dodged a tree and jumped over a small stream.
I know you must be thinking. 'Ella! Why would you be so dumb and listen to a STICKY NOTE?!' I swirved around a bush.
Well, you see, I'm not taking a chance with my family. I can defend myself. I don't need to be babied. So, I'm going to go to the clearing in the woods.
I dodged another tree and stopped at a creek. I slowly worked my way down the large scattered rocks. I took in a sharp breath then started to climb back up, using my hands this time.
I reached the top and I broke back into my sprint. It wasn't long at all until I reached the small clearing filled with small yellow flowers.
I slowly walked in and looked around. I breathed in and out very slowly, admiring the beautiful scenery as the light hit my face.
"Well, I'm here!" I yelled out to know one in particular. I held my breath and listened. No answer. I yelled out again.
"What do you want from me!?" I yelled out louder than before. I listened then I heard a twig snap behind me. I didn't move at all.
I man was behind me. I shut my eyes tightly and locked my arms tightly to my sides. The man was directly behind me. I knew that because he was breathing on my neck. Chills went down my spine and I let out a shakey breath.
"Well, well, well. What do we have here, Ella?" Mr. Guy said, still breathing on my neck.
"H-How do to know my name?" I squeaked out, scared for dear life.
"I have my ways, my little Eleanor." I resumed to be still as his hand traveled up my arm.
"Don't call me Eleanor." I said coldly. I could almost see the smirk on his face. I breathed out then started to squirm as his hand was still running up and down my arm.
"Don't move." He whispered harshly. His hand started to caress my cheek. Im scared but mad at the same time.
"Stop." I hiss, pushing his hand away. Mr. Guy smiled and came even closer.
"Feisty one, arn't we, Eleanor?" His arms snaked their way around my waist and tightened. I gasped and struggled for him to let go.
"Let me go, you psychopath!" I screamed and struggled more, making his arms tighten. I was almost out of air when I saw a shadow on the trees. A loud growl echoed throughout the clearing and Mr. Guy's arms loosened but didn't let me go.
The large figure came out of the trees. It was a wolf. A large silver wolf with bright blue eyes, bearing his canines and stalking towards Mr. Guy. The wolf lunged at Mr. Guy, which gave me time to scramble behind a giant oak that hid me perfectly. I shut my eyes because not only was Mr. Guy creepy, he was also in his Birthday Suit. Yep. Mr. Guy had been completely naked this entire time. Gross!
I turned my head slightly and looked out. There was no Mr. Guy. Just a brown wolf, fighting with the silver wolf. I took in a sharp breath as the brown wolf ran off. I turned my head forward and leaned against the tree. I heard the wolf's silent paws cone closer.
I shut my eyes and expected to be slottered any second. instead, a cold nose touched my hand, making me open my eyes.
The big silver wolf sat infront of me, ears up. He whimpered then touched my hand again. Hesitantly, I lean down and sofly pat him on the head.
The wolf made a happy yelp noise and rubbed his nose against me. I smiled then hugged his neck.
"Thank you." I whispered to the wolf then stood up. I walked to thr side of the clearing that ledbto home then turned the corner, giving one last glance at the silver wolf.
***
All I could think about was the wolf. Why me? Why did he save me? Why didn't he maul me or hurt me like he did to Mr. Guy?
The scene from yesterday kept replaying in my head like a movie. Dad still wasn't home yet. I sat up from my bed and looked out the window.
The silver wolf was watching me, with his sapphire blue eyes.
