*ELLA'S P.O.V.*
I sat on my front porch, admiring where that silver wolf was watching me. It left before I came back out, so I decided just to sit here.
The wind whipped my black hair in all directions. A cold breeze brushed the back of my neck. I loved the outside. As I was admiring nature, the hairs on my neck started to stand up. I went on high alert and never let my guard down.
Just like that, it felt like my body was on fire. I let out an ear busting scream and fell off of the porch swing, holding my sides. Unable to think straight, I kept screaming.
It got worse. The burning felt hotter, then I heard the bones in my legs snap. I screamed but at the same time, it felt sort of, peaceful. I screamed again, not just to anyone, to the silver wolf. The bones in my hands snapped abd long claws extended outward from them.
Just like that, the wolf was there. He wimpered then ran behind a tree. Out came a guy, that looked a couple years older than me. He had an eight pack, tan skin, and messy dark brown hair that suited him. His light blue eyes snapped over to me as he ran. Not away from me, towards me. Two more guys came out from the trees.
"Guys! Hurry! She's shifting for the first time!" I heard him scream. He looked down at me and whispered, "It's okay. Shh.. It will all get better.
*DEREK'S P.O.V.*
I tried to comfort my mate as she went through her first shift. But, the one thing you don't ever, ever do, is touch a werewolf while they're shifting. That will cause them to loose control and lash out.
"Calm yourself. Breathe in and out." I told her in a soft voice. I was trying to help her while the guys got the pack doctor. I stared at Ella and her golden eyes welled up with tears.
"Baby, please don't cry. I know it hurts but it will be over soon. I promise."
A traitor tear slowly leaked out of her as her tail started to form out. Her fur looked black, but I couldn't tell. Jane, the pack doctor got here just on time. She ran over with my beta and third in command close behind.
"Alpha Summers. What seems to be the problem?" She asked, setting down her bag. I got pretty agitated.
"My mate, and the Luna of your pack, is shifting for the first time. Help her." I ordered harshly. She nodded and mumbled, "Yes, Alpha."
I watch as she examines my mate. Here it comes, I told myself, This is where she goes unconcious. Her eyes never left mine. I watched as her eyes became a sharp, powerful, intoxicating, shade of gold. Her back snapped but she didn't pass out like she was supposed to. She let out a scream that was louder than any of the rest. It didn't make sense. Only wolves that were the child of a great Alpha never passed out. She took in a sharp breath as her nose and mouth stretched out and combined, the cracking of her skull, loud and clear.
After she fully shifted, she let out a breathe. Her eyes rolled to the back of her head then she finally became unconscious. Jane examined her then turned to me.
"She is rare. Very rare. Her shift was odd. I will have.to look into this. She might be caught off guard and on high alert when she wakes up. She didn't know about werewolves, so she will be scared." Jane explained then packed up her bag.
"Thank you. You can leave now." I ordered then stared down at my mate. No, she wasn't black. She was almost a black, but she was blue with a glossy shine. That was rare. My mate had to be the daughter of a strong alpha. Maybe even the strongest.
The only thing that mattered to me was that she was mine, and nobody was going to take her away from me.
Ever.
