*DEREK'S P.O.V.*
I sat outside her window, my wolf gaurding her as if she was a priceless gem. My wolf whimpered impaitently for her to look out the window.
After yesterday, I'm not letting her out of my sight. Michael had brought her into the clearing. I knew what that sick man wanted, and he wasn't going to get it.
Yesterday, I, Alpha Derek Summers, found my mate. She was the black haired, golden eyed, girl that sat up in her room at this very moment. My wolf shifted his weight from paw to paw impatiently.
'Dude, where are you?' Eric, my beta, contacted me through mind-link. My wolf growled in frustration.
'No where. Why?' I said back, more as an order and not a question.
'The elders sensed that you found your mate. Your human mate. Is that true?' He replyed. My wolf wanted to rip his head off for making me loose concentration. I sighed eternally.
'Tell the elders that it's true.' I snapped. I heard his wolf whine. 'Now go.'
'Yes, Alpha.' He replyed then left. My wolf lowly growled then heard a noise, a gasp to be exact. I looked up to see my beautiful mate, staring at me from her window.
My eyes turned sapphire at the pleasure of seeing my mate.
Mine. My wolf purred, satisfied that our mate was noticing us.
We need to claim her then mark her before she's ours. Remember? I spat at my wolf. Of course, being the stubborn thing my wolf is, he challenged me. I rolled my eyes then looked back up at our dear mate who was now gone. My wolf howled and whimpered.
Shut it, you big baby! I snapped at him, which got me a low growl and a silent wolf.
My head snapped towards the front door that was creaking open. Out stepped out our dear mate, wearing a pair of jean, cut off shorts and a white blouse. Her hair was curled to perfection. My wolf yips in happiness as she starts to walk towards us.
She slowly bent down and I touched her forehead with my huge snout. She smiled and my wolf let out a small howl of happiness.
"Who are you?" Our mate, that I didn't know the name of, said and started to stroke my back, flattening the wild fur.
I touched her nose with my snout. She let out a giggle that sounded like beautiful bells. My wolf listened in pleasure.
Mate here with us. Nothing happen to mate. Mate be safe. My wolf purred. I shook my head then walked all the way around my mate, taking in the alluring woodsy scent that raidiated off of her. Then, as I was observing her, it came to me.
Eleanor.
My angel was named Eleanor. My wolf yipped some more. I smiled. Ella smiled then stood up. My wolf whined, not wanting our love to leave. She giggled again then leaned down, pecking my nose. She smiled then ran inside. My wolf howled because our love wasn't here with us.
I ran out into the trees, where I ran in the direction of my house. When I was close to the brick home, I shifted to human form, grabbing a pair of shorts that the guys and I put all around incase we had to shift back into human form.I slipped them on then walked up and into the house, flopping into the couch immediately after I got inside.
Eric walked in eating a sandwich. I ran a hand though my dark hair. What am I going to do with my precious Ella?
"You okay, bro?" Eric asked through a mouthful of sandwich. I sighed then ran a hand through my hair.
"No. Not at all." I replied, leaning back into the couch. Eric took the recliner that was catty cornered to the left of me.
"Mate troubles?" He guessed, finishing off the rest of his sandwich.
"Tell me about it." I sighed then closed my eyes, thinking about Ella. It was all ruined when Courtney, an annoying cliche girl who thinks I'm "In love" with her and that she's my "Mate", walked in. She isn't. I will only have eyes for Ella.
"Hey baby." She tried saying in a seductive voice but it turned out more like something dying. My wolf growled.
She ugly. Me no want her. Me want our Ella. My wolf cries as she sits on my lap. I agree quickly with my wolf.
"What do you want, Courtney?" I asked, sliding out from underneath her.
"I just thought you'd like to see your mate, or the future Luna of White Fire." She giggled then ran a finger down my chest. I scooted a couple inches away.
"Courtney. We're not mates." I stated hard and cold. She did a pouty face that was supposed to look cute, but it made me want throw up.
"Are you okay, baby? You sound sick," She paused, feeling my head then running a hand down my cheek, sitting back on my lap. "Maybe a kiss will make it better."
I hated it when she did stuff like that. It was so cliche. Before I took position as Alpha, I had girls doing stuff like that to me all the time. I always turn them down now.
Courtney put her lips onto mine. I pressed my lips shut and didn't kiss.back. She pulled away seconds later.
"Baby!" She complained in a high-pitched voice. I heard Eric get up and walk away. I wish I could just get up and walk away, I thought. Courtney sat there and pouted for a good five minutes then tried to kiss me again. I pushed her off.
"Courtney!" I said in my alpha tone. She bowed down and shrinked when I said her name. "We. Are. Not. Mates. And we will never be mates! I found my mate, and I love her more than I will EVER love you!" I yelled at her using my alpha tone.
"B-but, baby. You m-must be... m-mistaken... I'm you're m-mate." She said, tears at the brim of her eyes.
"No your not. You will never be." I said then jogged out of the house. I ran
into the trees, away from my house. I stopped when the house was out of sight then I leaned agaist an oak tree.
Silver fur sprouted on my limbs, claws begged at my fingernails to be let out, and my eyes turned sapphire. My wolf wanted to come out. I kept denying my wolf acess until I heard an ear piercing scream.
Ella.
