Clary's POV
Luke doesn't get to finish his sentence. My mom bursts into the room. She runs over to me.

"Clary," she says, "are you alright?"

"I'm fine," I say, "Luke who isn't it good for?"

Luke looks at my mom. She sits down on the bed, and clears her throat.

"It isn't good for the baby," she tells me. It takes me a minute to realize what she is saying.

"How far are you? Do you know the gender?" I ask.

"I am five months," she says, "and it is a girl. We haven't picked a name out yet. We wanted you to help us."

"Jade Seraphina Fairchild," I say softly, "if it is alright with Luke for her to take your last name."

My mom looks at Luke who stands up. He whispers something to my mom who nods. Luke leaves and my mom tells me that her and Luke are going to go get lunch and discuss the last name. I smile and nod. She gives me a hug and leaves.

I stand up still smiling at the thought of a little sister. I head to my room and open the door only to see Jace sitting on the bed holding a crying Crystal. I hear him whisper softly to her as I go over to them.

"Crys, what's wrong? Jace, what happened?" I ask as I sit down on the bed beside Jace. She looks up at me and I see the bruise forming around her eye.

"I don't know what happened," Jace says, "I heard crying and came in here to check on her."

"Jay hit me Momma," she says softly through her tears. I gently pick her up from Jace's lap and hold her in mine.

"I will talk to your brother," I say, "are you alright baby girl?"

"Yes Momma," she says as she looks at Jace then back at me.

"What's on your mind Crys?" I ask.

"Momma will you and Papa ever get back together?"

"There is a chance," I tell her, "I am going to go talk to your brother now."

I set her down and go to find Jay. He is sitting on a chair in the library. I pick him up and sit down with him on my lap.

   "Hi Momma," he says.

"Hi Jay," I say with the gentle but stern voice that I use when they are in trouble. He looks up at me.

"I didn't do anything Momma," he says.

"Jonathan Christopher Fairchild," I say sternly, "don't you dare lie to me. You hit Crystal."

"She is lying Momma," he says, "I haven't been near her all morning."

"Jonathan," I say, "are you telling the truth or are you lying? I saw a bruise on your sister's face."

"I'm sorry Momma," he says as he looks down at his hands. I sigh knowing that he was lying. I stand up and carry him to my room. Crystal isn't in there anymore but Jace is still sitting on the bed.

"Where is Crys?" I ask Jace. He points to Izzy's room as I hand Jay to him.

"I'm going to go get her," I say, "don't let him leave the room."

I walk into Izzy's room and see Crystal whispering something to Izzy. I tell them that I need to see Crystal real quick. Crystal nods and follows me back into my room. That's when I see that the time on my clock is already three o'clock.

"Crys," Jay says, "I'm sorry for hitting you."

She stops walking and looks at her brother. Then she runs over to him and gives him a hug.

"Jay you're forgiven," she says, "Momma can I go back to Aunt Izzy's room?"

"Yeah," I say, "Jay I will talk to you more later. I need to go see your uncle."

He nods and runs out of the room. Crystal goes back to Izzy's room. I grab a few things and head to Izzy's room. I tell her where I am going and notice Jace is still sitting on my bed.

"Do you want to come with me?" I ask him knowing he wants to talk to me. He looks unsure for a second before nodding. He follows me to the house. I realize we still have a half hour before Sebastian gets here. I motion for him to follow me to the kitchen where I make a couple sandwiches.

"You looked like you wanted to talk to me," I say softly as I hand him a sandwich.

"You told Crys that there is a chance of us getting back together," he says.

"There is," I say, "but you have to prove that you won't cheat on me again."

"How?" He asks as I hear the front door open. Sebastian walks in and I jump up and throw my arms around him.

"Seb," I say as he returns my hug.

"Hey Little Sister," he says, "Jace has a very good question. How is he to prove that he won't cheat on you again?"

"Let me finish my sandwich before I answer," I say.

Jace's pov
"You looked like you wanted to talk to me," Clary says softly handing me a sandwich.

"You told Crys that there is a chance of us getting back together," I tell her as she takes a bite of her sandwich.

"There is," she says, "but you have to prove that you won't cheat on me again."

"How?" I ask as the front door opens. Sebastian walks in and Clary jumps up and throws her arms around him. I feel a pang of jealousy.

"Seb," she says as he returns her hug.

"Hey Little Sister," he says, "Jace has a very good question. How is he to prove that he won't cheat on you again?"

"Let me finish my sandwich before I answer," she answers. I sigh as she sits down.
