"So your telling me," Jasmine paused holding her hand up, "your telling me, he hit that already?"
Fortunately, once we got home last night everyone was exhausted and ready to call it a night. Unfortunately, nothing gets pass Jasmine. So this morning she woke up extra ecstatic and ready for the day and as for me, eh well I was tired. Last night I stayed up till almost day thinking about August. He was just so much more...more than when we were younger, and I didn't even know his hair could do that. It was so long, and curly I almost didn't recognize him. And his smile, oh lord his smile.
August was truly a work of art. "No, he didn't. We just dated." I shrugged. She continued to stare probably using her K9 senses to see if I was telling the truth.
I chuckled as I continued to was the dishes. "Impossible Kay, I don't believe it." She shook her head.
This girl is really a pain. If she doesn't see it with her own two eyes it's not believable. "Well yo-"
"Kay you're too soft to have been with that." She stated, cutting me off. They just never learn.
"Well it happened. We dated, things got real and then we separated." I mumbled the last part, as even more thoughts of the past and my relationship with August flooded through my mind.
"How'd things end? You did it didn't you." She joked. Little did she know she was almost correct. Almost.
"Nope, just fell off. I don't even wanna talk about him anymore," I giggled moving past her, trying to avoid explaining what really happened and why. "Let's go to the park." I suggested
I turned around to see her cutting her eyes at me, which soon turned to her doing that little face she does when she's about to say something slick
"No, I wanna talk about the goddess." she said with a smile
I rolled my eyes and made my way to the living room and onto the couch
"He is not all that Jasmine."I wanted to wake Demi up so we could go to the park but I knew that wouldn't have went the way I pictured it in my head. Demi was a heavy sleeper, and if you woke her up from her deep slumber she was sure to throw a fit.
Instead I decided on watching TV and tuning Jasmine out. Yes, she was still going on but if you were to ask me what she was saying I'd be lost as hell. Turning the channel to VH1, I sat as I watched Love and Hip Hop Atlanta. As usual Scrappy and Bambi was going at it and K.Michelle and Rasheeda were doing the same. Lord these reality shows.
"I'm hungry mommy." I looked in the direction of the voice and seen Demi standing there rubbing the sleep from her eyes.
"Good Morning precious. How'd you sleep last night?" I said turning back towards the tv."Good. What's this mommy?" She asked. Finally I turned around to see what she was talking about.
"I don't know love, you want something to eat?"
"Can I have my purple chips." She smiles hopefully. "Chips at 10 in the morning? Are you crazy, she crazy Jasmine. Maybe we need to knock some sense into her little butt."
