It's a beautiful night. Why not go Roof Jumping? Great source of exercise, good practice of flexibility and euphorically fun. I hopped off my bed and slipped on a sports bra, skinny combat pants and running shoes. Just in case, I grabbed cruor and venenum and slid them into the big pockets. Went to the kitchen and grabbed a few refresh pills because I didn't want to carry a water bottle. I brushed my hair back into a ponytail trying to contain the few loose strands that kept falling out.
Eventually I gave up and made my way to mid town where they had the perfect height of buildings to jump on. Doing this made me feel like I was flying. Like I was free. I flipped town onto a lower roof then on top of a restaurant. The moonlight lightly kissed my skin while the cool breeze that countered it felt amazing. Some may call this scary, being up this high. Every time you jump you could potentially die. Maybe that's why I like it so much. The risk, the thrill. I got over my feel of heights when I was eleven.People screamed from every direction. I couldn't hear anything. Everything was numb. I looked up towards the man at the top of building. The sudden lurching feeling I was feeling made me want to throw up. Daddy? No, I told myself. He isn't daddy anymore. I hugged my sides where the warm liquid was seeping out. I brought my hand up in front of me. It's so vibrantly red. I hugged myself even tighter this time. I barely saw the man jump and fly through the air for a few seconds. Just a moment after he landed with a thump on ground, looking red and horribly twisted all over, I passed out. My last thought being, "Someday I'll fly better than you ever could."
I was just a child then but sometimes I still dream of flying. I continued flipping and jumping across New Chicago until something shiny caught my eye. A gun? On a roof? A sniper. I made my way over there as quietly as possible. The guy had his back turned to me so I could only see the back off his dark brown hair. I made my way closer trying my best to blend in to the shadows cast by the neighbouring skyscrapers. As I got closer I recognized the cold face of the sniper. The infamous Kane. How lovely to see him again but what is he doing. His gun was pointed in the direction of Mainfield park but not specifically at anyone yet. I scanned the park. The only logical target was Cleo Sinate. He was sitting on a bench and looking round like he was waiting for someone. I've done business with his wife. She, like me, was a passionate, ambitious women who would do anything to get what we wanted. Also pretty good in bed, before she married her husband of course. Our similarities ended there. She was money hungry and power crazed. It was likely that she was the one who hired Kane. It'd make sense since her husband is filthy rich. I looked back over at Kane. He seemed very deep in thought. I wonder what he was thinking about. Suddenly he got up and aimed the gun. He shot beautifully. I looked over at Cleo who was now slumped against the bench. Kane had aimed perfectly. Hit right above the left ear where the skull was softer. An automatic kill. Might as well come out now. Quiet as a mouse while Kane was taking his sniper apart I moved behind him and grabbed his other guns. I stood there behind him for a few seconds then said,
"Good shot." He swung around, saw me and reached for guns that weren't there.
I laughed,"You're not very perceptive are you?"
"Give them back little girl. You're two young to handle them." He said in a dangerously low voice.
I scoffed and shot a spot right in between his feet.
"Now your pissing me off, give them back," he asked getting impatient. This is fun I thought.
"Make me," I dared. He smirked and moved towards me, grabbing out for the gun in my left hand. I sidestepped him easily and darted behind him before he could touch me. He spun around and glared at me. My tongue stuck out at him childishly. I leaped out of the way again but this time he anticipated my movement and grabbed a fist full of my hair. A yelp escaped my mouth as he pulled up. Kane leaned into my neck so that I could feel his hair brush my cheek.
"Got you," he whispered.
"Not quite," I said, bring my knee up between is legs and peeling his hand off my head. He groaned as his body doubled over in pain. An uncontrollable giggle escaped my lips.
"You shanking bitch," he growled
