Sorry that last chapter was short...
And for the cliffhanger.
Don't kill me.

Kane's POV
She fell back.

I ran forward to the edge and stared over. The street,  apart from the garbage was empty. No twisted bloody body. Where is she? My eyes frantically searched the ground. Suddenly a gun blasted right next to me. The spot steamed. What the hell? I heard laughter. There she was on the top of one of the shorter building, smiling deviously. Damn I'm going to kill that girl. She ran off, jumping and flipping over the buildings, taking one of my guns with her. Naughty little thief- wait a second. I patted around my jacket and pants for my wallet. It wasn't there. I smiled. Oh Kiara.

Kiara POV
I smirked. Nice gun. I only really took this to see how he'd try to get it back. This'll be entertaining. Might as well head home. It's been a long night. I made my way home, making sure Kane or anyone else didn't follow me. I got back and changed into my underwear and a loose t shirt. I pulled my hair out and put it back up again in a messy bun. I tucked back the loose strands behind my ear. I'm not very tired I decided so I took a refresh pill and made my way into the kitchen. God damn I loved my kitchen. It was very classic. Good quality baking utensil, fresh foods, tile that felt cool every time my bare feet danced on it, stereo and a small recipe library. I turned on my favourite dancing music and spun around to my library. I'm feeling, cupcakes, I decided. I brought all my ingredients and started mixing in all together. I danced over to the cupboard and grabbed the muffin pan. I started thinking about what happened today. I could still feel his lips on mine. No. This shouldn't have happened. Why'd I let him kiss me? He's Kane the Ripper. I can't trust him. He's a mystery that I'm going to leave unsolved. I decided to continue distracting myself with my cupcakes. After I'd put them in the oven I made the icing. What am I forgetting? OMG. SPRINKLES.  I danced my way slowly over to the candy drawer with my arms above my head, spinning around every third, step.  I sprinkled them everywhere making a complete mess. I wonder what life would be if it was always this simple. No running for my life. No constantly checking my back. The idea was strangely appealing. I shook my head. No. This is my life. It can't change. But still.
