Aquamarine

Chapter 1

Aqua's POV

"Xavier", I screamed and jumped into his arms. He kissed me on my lips. Xavier was my boyfriend. We were together from ninth grade and I loved him very much. He was a cute, blond hair boy, he was a bit taller than me but who cares. Almost every girl in the school liked him but I got him. We took the school bus together and went to school. The name of our school was East High.

In ten minutes we were at school. "Aqua!" Amanda shouted and hugged me. Amanda was my best friend. Her mom was my mom's best friend. She took me in when I told her that my mom was dead. Amanda was the only person who knew that I was a mermaid. "Mom told me to give you this", she said handing my purse to me. "She found it outside yesterday", Amanda told me. I thought I lost my purse but I was lucky.

The bell rang and we went to our classes. Industrial Arts was my first subject. I hate Industrial Arts. I it was the only subject I failed.

Ting Ting Ting Tingggggggg

The school bell rang. Thank God, school was over. I ran up to Xavier and Amanda. "Hey babe", I said kissing Xavier on his cheeks. I hugged Amanda and smiled. We went to catch to the school bus as we talked about random things.

Amanda and I came off the bus and went into our house. "Hi mom", we said when we saw Amanda's mom. She wasn't my mom but I called her mom anyway. She reminded me of my mom too.

I ran up to my room and put on a pink skirt and a white blouse. I did my homework and went down to the dining room. Mom was setting the table. "Can you call Amanda for me sweetie?" She asked. She had a sugary voice and she was very pretty too. Amanda looked a lot like her. "Ok", I said to her and ran to Amanda's room. "AMANDA!" I shouted. The door flew open and Amanda looked out frightened. "Yes", She answered. "Come on. Its time for dinner", I said laughing. She elbowed me in my shoulder and laughed. "What do we have for dinner?" Amanda asked. "Rice and peas with baked chicken or stew beef, potato salad, mayonnaised vegetables and apple juice or grape juice", mom replied. Amanda licked her lips and mom and I laughed.
I said the prayer and we began eating. It was delicious. After we were finish eating mom brought fruit salad and we ate it. I glanced at my waterproof watch. I bought it because I could use it underwater when I was swimming. It was 4:45. I ran out of the room and Amanda followed. "Be back home before six", mom shouted.

I ran down to the beach. We had our own private beach which I was glad for. I jumped into the water and my aquamarine tail appeared. Amanda came in after me. She was a human but she was a great swimmer. She was the best swimmer in school. We swam together enjoying the waves, I held Amanda's hand so that a big wave wouldn't knock her in the ocean. At 5:30 I carried Amanda to the shore and I swam all the way to Mermaidia. Mermaidia was the mermaids and merman village.

"Aquamarine!!" My little cousin Oceania shouted when she saw me. I swam down and lifted her up. She giggled. She was my dad's niece. I loved her dearly. "Where is Aunt Bubbles?" I asked her. "She is inside making jelly shake", she replied. I loved jelly shake.  I swam inside the pink coral house with Oceania in my arms. "Auntie!" I shouted as I hugged her. She hugged me back and laugh. "How are you sweetie?" She asked throwing out the jelly shake in three cups. "I'm great" , I replied. She gave me one of the cup. "Thanks", I said as I drank some. "You're welcome sweetie", she said. "So where is Ski?" I asked her. "She is doing a project for school" she said. I swam up to Ski's room and knocked. She opened the coral door and she hugged me as soon as she saw me. We talked a bit and then I glanced at my watch. "Oh no!" I shouted. It was 6:10. I told Oceania, Ski and Aunt Bubbles bye and rushed off.

In fives minutes I reached home. I was lucky that mom was taking a shower. I went up to my room and turned into the bathroom. There was a bathroom in my room. I went into the bath and turned on the pipe. I hated taking baths on land. I couldn't stand up, I had to lay down and bathe.
I came out of the bath and fell on the floor. I dried my tail and two legs appeared. I put on one of my night dress and text Xavier
