Discovery

Paige's POV

"Aahhhhhhhhhh", I screamed. I was speechless. There was a treasure in my room. It had beautiful pieces of gold. I wondered how I got this then I remembered that I made a wish yesterday.  What if Aqua is a mermaid or Xavier is a merman. It couldn't be. I decided to see if I could find out. It couldn't be Xavier because we went swimming together and when mers touched water they would transform . It was Aqua. It must be Aqua because she acted weird when she touched water and she was afraid to go to the beach. Aqua and Xavier were out so I decided to go in Aqua's room to see if I could find any mermaid proof. Aqua accidentally left her key when Xavier was hurrying her. I took it and went into her room. As I stepped inside I saw a book on the floor. I took it up and read the title. 'Aquamarine's Diary' was marked on it. I opened it and read silently. My name is Aquamarine Summers. I am a mermaid. I stopped reading, I didn't need to go any further. At the bottom of the page there was a picture of Aqua in her mermaid form. I heard Xavier's mouth as he walked through the main door. I dropped the diary on the floor, closed Aqua's door, put back the key where it was and I walked downstairs. They weren't downstairs. I heard and sound and turned around, they were near the pool. I walked  through the door and went outside. Aqua and Xavier were kissing beside the pool. Anger stirred inside of me. The boy I loved was kissing a fish. I ran at her I pushed her in the pool. "What is your problem? Xavier asked me angrily. "She is a fish!" I shouted. Xavier looked in the pool and  stepped back.

Aqua's POV

"Xavier", I said calling his name. He hissed his teeth at me. "You're a fish!" He shouted. "All this time we were together and you never told me, I can't believe I was in love with a fish, I actually kissed a fish!" He shouted at me. "I-I c-can e-explain", I stuttered touching his hand. "There's nothing to explain!" He shouted at me. "We're done, get out of my house now!" He shouted and walked away. "Xavier!" I cried out but he walked inside. Paige looked at me and laughed. "Poor little fish. Xavier is mine now so don't think of him and hurry and leave", she said laughing. "Oh, one more thing, this will be a great news for school. Freak", she said laughing and walking inside. I was speechless. I began to cry hard. I dragged myself out of the pool and dried off. I ran to the beach I jumped in. I didn't even wait until my tail appeared. I just swam on. A song came in my head and I began to sing it.

A million thoughts in my head, should a let my heart keep listening. But up till now. I've crossed the line, nothing lost but something missing. I can't decide what's wrong, what right, which way should I go. If only anyone my heart was telling me. Don't know what i'm feeling. Is this just a dream? Oh oh. If only I could read the signs in front of me, I could find a way to who i'm meant to be. Oh oh. If only.

I stopped singing and swam to a cave and hide. I cried, I couldn't believe that Xavier would leave me like that. I knew that Paige would find out that I was a mermaid because of treasure, she only wanted to spend the summer at Xavier's house because she wanted Xavier. I swam to Auntie Bubbles house and told her everything. She tried to calm me down and stuffs.

I went up to Xavier's house to get my stuffs. As I opened the door I saw Paige and Xavier in the couch kissing. They stopped as they saw me. "What do you want?" Xavier asked angrily. "I'm taking my stuffs out", I told him. "Hurry up loser", Paige shouted and continued kissing Xavier. I packed up all my things and carried them at my real mom's house since my fake mom wasn't there. I hadn't been to my mom's house in ages. I sat inside enjoying the moment. I imagined my real mom, my dad and me sitting in the couch when I was younger. I wished they were still here. I went into her room. I was once scared to go into her room but now I wasn't. I walked around the room and stopped when my eyes spotted something. I walked over to it. It was very dusty. I took it up and looked at it, it was a book, my real mom's book actually. I opened it and saw pictures of my mom, my dad and I. I saw an envelope and I read the outside, it had my name on it. I opened it and saw a glowing blue pearl, a card, a bracelet and a paper. I opened the paper and read it aloud. "Aqua, I was saving this for your sixteen birthday but I decided to give you when you were 14 years old. The blue pearl can help you to find anyone you want, just talk to it and it will give you directions, the bracelet was my mom's and she gave it to me so I decided to give it to you and the card is a love card your dad gave me when I was 14, it was very lovely. I hope you enjoy these gifts. Happy birthday honey and remember that I will always love you. I hope you will always have love in your heart. Love Tori.", I read. My mom wrote this before she died. She was keeping it for my 14th birthday but she didn't live to see it. I wished she was here. I took the card and read it. It was lovely as my mom said. It gave me courage to face Xavier and talk to him. Everything happens for a reason. I thought and swam down to Auntie Bubbles.
