West burst through the bushes

"Are you okay?" He asked
"Of course" Cooper snarled
"Whoa chill Cooper" Raven yapped
"Coop, you know that I would never have shot her" West added
"It was close" Cooper snarled "don't call me that"
West started snarling, just before they started fighting Raven stepped in the way. She shot a mean glare at both of them. West signalled with his tail to follow him
"I told them that I would hunt you down so I don't have to go back" he barked
"And what are you going to bring back" Cooper questioned
"Nothing," West said, "I'm just going to say that you got away" he said
"Okay then, let's, uh, go to the river" Raven suggested, her paws hurting from stepping on a few stones and twigs, she thought that she might have gotten a prickle stuck in her pawpad.
"As long as you don't try to swim away again-and fail" West said with sarcasm
"Pfft, I won't" Raven barked

They walked to the river, Raven limping the whole way because of her hurting paws. When they got to the bubbling river Raven walked into the cool water. She let the icy water swish around her paws. She saw Cooper looking at some minnows that swam around his feet. He opened his jaws and snapped at the water, only to come up with a face full of water. Raven giggled. Cooper was looking at the water again, his eyes following a minnow. Raven jumped and pushed him over, they both later in the water.
"Hey!" Cooper yapped "I was about to get one"
"Okay mr.Bear" Raven teased
Raven looked at West who was looking to the sky, the sky had been covered with thick grey clouds without her noticing.
"Let's get out of here before it rains" West suggested
"I-" Raven sniffed "I don't smell rain"
"Same" Cooper barked
"But it's better to get out of here anyways, it might get a bit cold" Raven said
West signalled with his tail to leave, all the wolves followed. Ravens paws stopped hurting but the cold water clung to her pelt. There now was a cold breeze, Raven shivered and wished the water would dry faster. She stopped to shake off her pelt, it hadn't worked her pelt was still damp and cold. She continued to walk following behind the others wanted to curl up in a tiny hollow with the other wolves. She noticed that the other wolves were shivering too, Cooper was covered head to toe in damp fur, penny, Missy, and Buddy were damp just above the legs and West just had dipped his paws in the water. Raven focused on Cooper
Im sorry for pushing you over she said silently. Cooper would not be as cold if she hadn't. She looked up as the leaves on the trees made a calming rustling sound, the thick darker grey clouds hanging above. They neared Wests house and the wind tugged at her pelt.
They reached the house and dried off.
"I'm a little cold" Missy complained.
"Missy, we should return to our den." Buddy said
"Yeah" Cooper agreed
"Do you all live in the same den?" Raven asked her nose twitched
"Yeah" Penny barked
"It's nice and warm, we curl up and sleep together to stay warm." Missy said yawning

Warm? My den is cold, I would like a companion but I don't know if I can trust any other wolf-kin yet.

As the four wolves left Raven followed them out the door and wished them a good night, then headed to her nook, the wind tugged at her fur as she ran, reaching her hollow she bounced up the tree in four graceful leaps. It was warm in there, shielded from the wind.
She almost forgot how empty it was, she needed someone to live with her.
She remembered how Cooper and his friends said how nice it was to live together, it must not be lonely.
She climbed into her miss best on the far side of the nest, pulled a blanket over her furry body and then fell asleep to the sound of leaves rustling and a wolfs howl far in the distance.
