The storm carried on for half the day, Raven, Cooper and Snow all stayed inside. A cold breeze was blowing into the hollow, the wolves pelts protected them from a bit of the cold.
"We should at least visit West" Cooper reasoned "It would be nice"
"In the rain? Right now?" Raven said pushing her nose closer to her paws.
"Yeah!" Cooper barked.
"I'd like to meet this 'West' guy" Snow said moving her paws to a more comfortable position.
"Fine, follow me." Raven said getting to her paws, she paused "And you can't tell West about this place, or anybody for that matter."
"I know! You told me ten thousand times before" Cooper whined
"Whatever, come on, quickly" Raven said, she did not want to be out in the rain for a long time.
They quickly climbed down the tree, Ravens paws hit the ground, followed by Coopers and Snow came down not long after that. Raven started running, wanting to get out of the rain as soon as possible.
Thunder ahead boomed and lightning crackled. The sound of rain surrounded Raven as her muddy paws hit the hard ground.
"Can we walk" Raven barely heard Coopers whimper behind her.
"Fine." Raven said.
"What's up with you?" Cooper said sounding pissed
"Nothing, it's just I want to get out of this rain" Raven said looking away from Cooper as he caught up with her.
"Oh. Ok, you sound frustrated,"
"I just want to get out of this rain" Raven repeated
"Alright, but I can't control the rain" Cooper said sarcastically.
"I know." Raven gazed off into the distant road
"My paws are packed with mud, that's why I wanted to walk" Cooper said lifting up his paws higher.
"Alright" Raven sighed.
"You can run ahead if you want," Cooper said looking at Raven " I will stay with Snow"
"No, I will stay" Raven didn't want to think of leaving them behind, a hunter might get them, or a bear, Raven shook her head spraying raindrops onto Cooper.
Lightning crackled again as the came close to Wests house.
"Get down" Raven said as she lowered herself under a bush.
Snow and Cooper followed her
Raven looked around, she smelt the air; no sign of humans
"Smelling? Wouldn't the rain wash away the scents?" Cooper said "and looking around isn't going to help, you can't see what's in the bushes in this weather?"
"Oh yah? How am I going to see if there are humans?" Raven growled.
Cooper dashed out of the bush and jumped around in the grass in front of Wests house.
"COOPER! GET BACK HERE" Raven barked
"The coast is clear!" Cooper howled
Raven dashed out to Wests door and clawed it. Clare, Wests wife opened it.
"Hello?" She said looking at the three wolves at her door
"Please let us in" Raven said, "we came to see West"
Clare moved to let the wolves in.
They turned into humans and sat down on the couch.
"Wests been gone for the day." Clare said cleaning something that was on the counter
"Oh.." Raven said "where did he go?"
"Hunting I guess" Clare said.
"For?"
"Lunch"
"He's not back yet?" Raven said starting to worry
"It's past lunch though" Cooper said
"Have you heard from him?" Raven said
"No, enough with the questions now" Clare responded.
Raven worried about West. He is a very good Hunter and usually would be back by now. Ravens head circled with thought. West walked into the door looking rather tired.
"WEST!" Raven barked
"Well someone's happy to see me." West chuckled.
"Oh! I was so worried about you! Clare told me that you wasn't here for the day, I thought you got hurt" Raven said then wished that she took back her words.
"Bad hunting" west sighed. "Who's this?" He looked at Snow
"Oh! This is Snow, and Snow this is-"
"I'm guessing it's West" Snow said cutting off Raven.
"Yah" Raven said
"And Cooper, how are you?" West asked
"Good. Except Ravens mad at me" Cooper said looking at the ground.
"Hey! It's not my fault that you wanted to walk in the rain! And then you ran in a field that a hunter could have been waiting in!" Raven growled
"Cooper, Ravens just trying to protect you" West said calmly
"You should stay here till the weather calms down" West offered
"Sure." Raven said, not wanting to go out in the rain again.
"It should blow over soon." West said
Thank god Raven thought.
