I sat on my bed, if you can even call it a bed not that I'm complaining, thinking about Stacy.
Stacy just recently turned 18 in the past few days leaving me alone in this orphanage friendless.
Yea there's other kids but I'm the oldest by a landslide and it will be like that untill I leave this place.
All the children here are 5 and under. I'm 14. If you do that math its pretty sad.
And I'm not exaggerating when I say untill I leave. Me and Stacy always got skipped over. People always wanted younger kids.
And honestly I was fine with that because I had Stacy but know I really don't know.
We never get any older kids they go to a different orphanage the reason me and Stacy are older is because we've been here since we were little.
I don't know much about my parents other than what Myri the main worker of Los Angeles central Orphanage has told me.
Pretty much when I was 3 my father murdered my mother out of cold blood and tried to kill me because I'm the apparently the "spitting image" of my mother but a neighbor heard the screaming and called the police.
Long story short before he could kill me the police arrived and my only family was my grandparents but they had passed away years ago.
I really can't remember anything from then.
so pretty much yea, I've been here my whole life.
But this is not home.
I've never considered this place my home and I never will.
I slumped in my bed and groaned listening to it echo in the now mostly empty room.
Me and Stacy had shared a room, man life sucked without her.
She said she would have adopted me but she couldn't, She said she had to find a job and get on her feet and maybe save for college.
I understood though. She could still live a good life and even though I'm mature for my age it just wouldn't work.
I haven't cried since the day Stacy left to be honest that was probably the first I cried in my life well maybe second assuming I cried when my dad you know... anyway Stacy cried too and she was the strongest girl I knew.
It was a happy sad moment. She was free but she was also leaving me alone to wait forever.
Suddenly Jasey a little blonde girl ran into my room giggling and jumping onto me shaking me out of my thoughts asking if I could play Barbie.
I laughed and instead offered to put her hair in pigtails.
She immediately agreed and I walked over to my side table grabbing to hair ties with small pink bows on them and did her hair.
Jasey giggled happily and hugged me before running downstairs to wait since a couple was coming by today.
I know what your thinking, I was all complaining about the little kids when I could easily be a hair dresser!
hah, yea no.
Don't get me wrong they sure are REALLY cute and joyful but let's be honest here, you would hate it if you had to play Barbie all day with a little kid who always killed off your Barbie and made her hated by the other Barbies and wouldn't give her any doll food or money than made her Barbie famous and gave your Barbie to the babies to chew and slobber on :(
