The Hospital Visit

At Lakeshore

They got Laura and Antonio to the closest hospital, Lake Shore where they were rushed into surgery immediately. The surgery on Antonio didn't take that long but the surgery for Laura was going to take about 8 hours.

Meanwhile at Chicago Med

Diego was in surgery that was said to last about 5 hours he had a broken collarbone and ankle as well as a hairline fracture to his left wrist. Eva got off lucky with only a minor concussion and her left arm broken.

The doctors were tending to both Eva and Diego.

5 hours later

Diego was finally out of surgery and was talking to Eva just as Gabby walked in. "Hey guys how are you feeling?"

Eva replies, "we're alright how's mom and dad? Are they out of surgery?" Just then Casey and Severide walk in with the kids.

Abby, Kenzie, and Marcus all ran over to Eva and climbed up beside her saying, "cousin cousin are you okay?"

Kelly's twins both ran over to Diego and started climbing onto Diego's bed until they got help to get on the bed without hurting him, "uzin uzin, how ywo feels?"

Diego looks at Angel and Tony and said, "I'm alright guys, I'm just a little sore so if you be careful you can lay with me."

Eva giggles looking at Gabby then at her cousins, "I'm doing good just worried about my mom and dad."

All her cousins said in unison, "it will be alrights, they have to be okay."

Gabby smiles looking at everyone, "our family will make it through this. We have everyone from 51 and district 21 is pulling for our whole family."

Just then Shay walks in carrying a container of food for everyone, "hey guys I have food for everyone. We all need to keep our strength up," she walks over to Kelly and smiles sweetly, "even you Kels."

Everyone picks out a sandwich and says thank you to Shay. Kelly looks at Shay, "hey can I talk to you for a minute out in the hall please?"

Shay looks at him setting the food and drinks on the table and then walks out with Kelly, "sure Kel, what's up?"
