The Shay/Severide Household

Shay was up at 6am she couldn't fall back asleep so she decided to get up to make breakfast but then all of a sudden she yelled in pain. Kelly runs down to check on Shay noticing she was sitting down.

Kelly looked at her, "are you okay?"

Shay looks at him and slowly nods, "I'm fine my arm just hurts so freaking bad!! But I'll be fine we have to get our kids ready for daycare and us ready for work."

Kelly looks at his best friend filled with worry. Not just because she's his best friend but also because she's the mother of his children and it came to him that he was completely in love with her.

Shay looks at him noticing he is spacing out, "Kel? Are you alright? What's wrong? I'll be fine I promise."

Kelly gets interrupted by Shay breaking into his thoughts, "I'm alright just worried about you. Don't work too hard getting breakfast ready. Rest and we can take the kids to breakfast. If you don't feel any better after I get the kids ready and eat breakfast with us, I can get my sister Katie to take the kids to school and I'll get you to the hospital."

Shay looks at him and sighs, "you know how I feel about being in the hospital Kel, but I promise that if I don't feel any better that I will go to the hospital for you and our kids. I don't think it's anything to worry about though. Thanks for carrying about me tho Kel, you know I love you right?"

He smiles wishing that she could love him as he is with her but he knows she can't, "thanks Les, you and the kids are my world. And Ik I love you more than you will ever know. Now go get some rest okay?" He smiles kissing her head watching her walk out.

He goes down the hall to wake up Angel and Anthony noticing they are already awake, "hey my sweet angels, good morning. Let's get you both dressed so I can take you guys and your mommy to breakfast."

Angel smiles looking at Kelly, "okay daddy. Where is mommy? I heard yelling, is she okay?"

Anthony pipes up, "yeah daddy is mommy okay? She sounded hurt. I know you and mommy not together but I wish you were."

Angel chimes in, "yeah daddy, I want you and mommy together too."

Kelly smiles looking at them as he puts changes Anthony's diaper and then put him in his Mikey Mouse overalls setting him down in the jumper, "your mommy is alright she's in a bit of pain but nothing serious. It might be because she is stressed and awww angels, I know you want us together but it can't happen."

Angel smiles her usual grin while her daddy puts her in her Minnie Mouse dress, "I help mommy not be stressed I help with doggie and dishes. I not want mommy to be stressed. And why not? I know mommy doesn't likes guys but maybe she like you daddy. Your amazing and caring to mommy and me and brudder."

Kelly smiles as he finishes getting them ready and walks into Shay's room carrying, "Awww baby girl, it's good that you want to help mommy but your too little. I'm sorry sweetie. I don't want her stressed either princess. Awww sweetie, I'm always going to be here for all of you. No matter what."

Shay smiles feeling much better and Kelly asks her if she's okay. She nods, "yeah I'm fine, I'm better really."

Kelly smiles kissing her head, "that's good to hear. Let's go get us some breakfast", he smiles carrying Angel and Anthony to the car. Shay comes out carrying their little puppy and kitty backpacks locking the door behind her and then gets into the car.
